Will CMs take pictures with your own phone?

So, my husband and I are WDW vets. Because we travel just the two of us, we don't take a lot of pictures because I just feel a little stupid taking selfies lol. That's just me. I also am a little shy and feel weird asking other guests to take our picture.

Do CMs still take pictures with your own camera/phone if you ask them? I know they always used to but I never took advantage of that before. I also feel a little weird even asking them! We aren't going to buy Memory maker or photopass or whatever it's called now lol.

I have asked CMs before and they have always been happy to do so! We have usually gotten very nice photos as well. I have many also take several at once without even telling me since it is so quick to do so, then telling me "I wanted you to have a selection!" I was nervous to ask too but over all my trips, now I feel comfortable to do so. I'm not a big fan of asking other guests to take photos for me if I can avoid it, since I don't want to feel I am inconveniencing them (however I always offer to take photos for people if I think they might want a little help). Definitely ask!

Yes! They definitely will (even the photopass photographers).

Any cast member will use your camera to take your picture. Just ask.

They sure do! A polite ask and they are more than happy too! Also don’t mind asking guests I love to take photos for people too!

We often ask to have one taking with our phone after the photopass photographer is done. I usually mention that I'd like to have one to text 'back home' (to the poor saps who couldn't come with us to DW).

They sure do! I asked a few CM to take a pic with my phone last trip, never had an issue.

Sometimes you don't even have to ask. More than once a CM saw us trying to pose for a shot and approached us, asking if we would like a shot with all 4 of us in it. They are super nice about it.

Not only have we had CMs do it, but photopass photographers will too.

To be honest normal cast members seem to do a better job than the photopass photographers who in my experience aren't that great at what they go 80% of the time!

Yes they will. And a few will drop them, turn them off and can't figure out why they don't work and even kick them after they drop them. ( These are a few things that have happened to us, you photo experience may include others ways to damage your camera)

Photopass Photographers are always willing to take a shot with your camera (or phone) after they take the shot with theirs. This is a way to get some lovely shots, without paying for the Memory Maker, or Photo Downloads.

Cast Members at Disneyland are great! They'll even use their small flashlights to light up the foreground so nighttime pictures on your phone look perfect

In case you can't find a CM around, I used a trick several times on my last trip by asking strangers to take my picture. I would look around for a couple or family who would be trying to take a selfie nearby. I'd ask them if they'd like me to take their picture so everyone could be in the photo. Nearly every single time I offered, the people were absolutely thrilled. Once I took their picture, I politely asked if they could return the favor by taking a picture of my boyfriend and me. This worked really well for us!

Yes! We would ask the Photopass Photographers to take our picture with their camera and then ask if they would take a picture using my phone. They ALWAYS said "Sure".

Not my phone, my $400 at the time camera. None, I gave it to them
