I was wondering...and I know its a long shot... But would Cinderella Castle ever be bookable on points?

I mean if you made it where it was only maximum of 1 or 2 nights per year, per member... there are people that would pay HUGE points to stay there... I would! If a GV at BLT with a MK view is worth (just guessing) 90ish points per night. Would the value of the castle easily be 150 points per night? 200 points? or more?

I just think it would be an awesome place to stay! Any thoughts?

Doubtful, it's not part of the DVC. Besides I'm not sure you can book it for cash. I believe it is held for special "people" like Make a Wish and events, like the contest held back in 2008.

It is not part of DVC. I doubt if it will ever be made available to the average Joe. As the previous poster stated Make a Wish or something special is about it....smjj

As others had said it will never happen. But do you have any idea how many people are DVC members?

2 nights per member (or even 1 night per member) wouldn't work. There are atleast 180/365 members who would pretty much pay anything to stay there. Then the boards would be full of people complaining that the suite is always booked.

DVC didn't put in the points limits which you can own (overall and per resort) because they can't sell the points. And even if you didn't want to stay there, members would be calling n-months out every day just so they could book it and put the stay up on e-bay and pay for the contract. (Yes I have no doubt a stay would go for $10k's per night.)

Never going to happen, I doubt it's even owned by the "Resort" arm (we know it's not owned by the DVC arm) of the Disney World. My guess is it's owned by Special Events. As strange as it may seem, the most fair way of handing it is how they are doing it now. As prizes and other special rewards.

I just asked this question to the disney mom's panel a few days ago, their reply was.... no it will never be be rented out, it is still given away each night to random families that are staying at Disney!

yeah, but what a Disney dream. My hairdresser and I were just talking about this and she wishes it were possible.:cloud9:
