Will they have the decorations up and the holiday activities (like the gingerbread house, etc.) the week after Thanksgiving? Or do they wait until December?
Thanks,
DJ

Hi,

WDW has already started putting up their Christmas decorations! But as of Sunday, Nov. 17th DCL has not. We are cruising again Dec. 1st and I do expect that their fab. Christmas tree and all the trimmings will be up on the ship and the port should look festive as well!

PS
Santa Clause 2 was awesome!

The first sailing that will have decorations is November 24. :)

Michelle,

Does that mean that the Thanksgiving cruise that embarks on Nov. 23 won't have holiday decorations?? I see that you talk about the Nov. 24....

Thanks

Right, tbuot, although they may START decorating on that cruise. According to DCL:

DCL is planning a magical holiday season on sailings between Nov. 24, 2002, and Jan. 1, 2003. Guests will find both ships decked with boughs of holly and filled with holiday-themed entertainment for the whole family, including:

- A nearly three-deck-tall tree lighting ceremony in the atrium lobby, where "snow" magically falls
- A Christmas Eve visit from Santa Goofy, with surprises for kids enrolled in children's programming
- International holiday caroling by crew members from around the globe
- Special family time, when families join together to design and decorate their own gingerbread houses
- Classic holiday story time in the atrium hosted by favorite Disney Characters
- Traditional holiday feasts in Disney's three themed dining rooms (on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)
- Presentations of Santa Claus 2: The Mrs. Claus and Treasure Planet
- Multiple faith and non-denominational holiday services
- A ship-wide party to ring in 2003 and a New Year's Day tailgate party at ESPN Skybox and Promenade Lounge
