Will cast members at the rides hold larger souvenirs?

Can you hand large souvenirs to cast members at the rides until you get off? I'm just worried about carrying a droid around all day at Galaxy's Edge.

I have no "official policy" info on this but pretty sure the answer to your question is no. CM at the ride are there to man the ride and focus on guest safety. And it would be impractical to give your item to a CM pre-ride as many attractions load and unload in separate areas.

No way to do that. The CM's are there to direct traffic basically. The CM you see at the entrance to an attraction will not be the one you see when you get off.

Maybe Disney will bring back delivery to your resort, or at least to the front of the park. Otherwise see if Droid Depot will hold it for you.

Get a locker to put it in and pick it up at the end of the day.

I doubt they would do that for the reasons mentioned about. It would be like running a valet/coat check service and keeping track of who gets which items would turn into a major project. There would need to be somewhere to store them and give out tags so you got the correct item back. Better approach would be to purchase large items when you are exiting the park. Do you really want to carry the item around all day with you, even if you weren't doing any rides?

They still offer pick up, you have to do it at the park 1 hour before closing.

They won’t hold your stuff; I asked when I was there.
A cast member explained to me that most rides are designed for people to have their things with them.
I had my popcorn bucket, sipper and backpack with me on every ride i went on (including SM) and I didn’t have any issues.
