I've read somewhere that both of these rides will be down for extended periods starting in November. Is that true? I can't find my original source.

Nobody knows. There are just rumors about Fall rehabs.

Oh that's good to hear. I'm hoping they'll be open when I'm there. If they're not I'll still have fun of course but now I'll consider it a bonus if they're open.

That is a great way to do it.

I would think it would be more likely that they would go down right after summer. Disney normally refurbs during down times, although Pirates was down for an extended refurb into November last year. September is a notorious time for refurbs since it is after summer and before the halloween period.

Bottom line is we don't know for sure, but to have two headliners down during a busy period like November would be unusual.

Late November around Thanksgiving, yes. But during the first half of November, not really unusual.

Fingers crossed that nothing major is closed in early December then! I have an (irrational) fear that WOC will be down... and since we're flying from Australia I'd be a bit devastated.

We are there the first full week of November. I am hoping for some minor refurbs, but nothing major that we want to see.

Our kids are small, so TOT or any coaster would be fine with us if it was down. Like PP stated, let WOC be open and Cars Land to have no issues.

We're Aussie too and last year WOC broke down in the middle of the show, so disappointing but we had lots of other nights to go see it and we're able to see it in full. How many nights do you have there? Maybe see it as early as possible so if something happens you can try again. The same goes for the fireworks, it's often cancelled due to winds.

We're there three nights/four days so we'll have a bit of leeway which is good. I am sure all will work out.
