Will Body Wars be open this summer?

My DH has fond childhood memories of Body Wars but it has been closed every time we have visited. I know it was open in December of 2004 because my sister and I took a trip and we rode it then. Does anybody know if they are planning a rehab or what is going on with the Wonders of Life pavillion?

It was open the weekend before Christmas and we rode Body Wars and saw Cranium command. We got a Fast Pass for Living with the Land and on the FastPass it told us that Wonders of Life was open! DD was thrilled!!!! We rode Body Wars the last day it was open in January 2004(?). We have lots of photos from that day...

Anyway, there is no evidence of rehab. The cycles were covered over, Body Wars was audibly creaky, the whole place was sort of sad and empty looking. Still, we loved riding Body Wars again! I don't know if it will be open in the summer, my guess is maybe around July 4 when crowds will be most intense. Hope you get to ride!

There are postings from locals indicating that Body Wars has been dismantled and removed from Epcot. I have no first hand knowledge, though.

We spent a lot of time in the Wonders of Life pavillion on 12/31/05 knowing that it was likely the last time we'd ever be in there. Cranium Command will especially be missed.

Wow - so the whole pavillion may be dismantled? Does anyone know what is going to replace it?

Dont know what's replacing it, but I do know that the whole pavilion is set for a complete overhaul. Sadly enough, Body Wars is gone. Along with everything else in that pavilion. Rumor has it that they will reopen the new pavilion sometime in 2007, and then Universe of Energy will be the next for a total overhaul.
