DH has to work and is on a later flight so he will not be joining us for one of our MK mornings. We plan to do mostly Fantasyland/Tomorrowland rides the first day, then meet DH in EPCOT for dinner. My girls are 11 and 15 so I suppose they can ride together and I can be the odd man odd, but does that mean I ride with a stranger? I am also ok just skipping the rides if I have to so the kids can ride together. Here are the rides we plan to ride - can anyone tell me the seating configuration? Or is there a website that lists the rides and the number of riders allowed? I'm hoping maybe some seat 3 people so we can all ride together:

Haunted Mansion
iasw
PP
Under the Sea
Dumbo
Barnstormer
Winnie the Pooh
Philharmagic
7DMT
Space Mtn
Carousel of Progress
People Mover
Astro Orbitor
Buzz Lightyear
Monsters Inc

I've been a couple of time with DS and DIL and on the rides that just seat 2 it's hit or miss as to whether they will put another person in the seat with the third person. I'm always the solo person and I take solo trips as well. I don't know about the kids rides but I can tell you on HM they will not put another person with you, SM the little cars have two seats front and back so they will put another person with you either in front of or behind, BL do not put another person with you.

Argh, maybe I'll switch to EPCOT for our first day instead. Anyone know how many people can fit in a clam mobile for The Seas??

space has 3 people per car front to back, with 2 cars in each train.

Comfortably, 2, unless one of them is a toddler. The Seas, Little Mermaid and Haunted Mansion all use the same ride vehicles.

I just went with my 13 year old twins. Some of the 2 seater rides they rode together, some one of them rode with me. We just switched it around depending on how we were feeling at the time. I wouldn't let it change your plan of attack at the park, I actually thought it was kind of nice to be able to alternate around although obviously we had no choice since we were a party of 3 the entire trip.

I did Mk with 2 of my kids without DH. They were 7 and 4. It was fine. One kid rode alone, he didn't care a bit. They are only completely separate on a few and you can pretty much always see each other (like on Peter Pan, haunted mansion, under the sea, astro orbiter)
Dumbo and pooh you're in the same "car", and the rides on barnstormer and 7dmt are so fast it won't matter anyway. I'd rather manage Mk with one less adult than Epcot.

The only ride they put my son with anyone else was 7dmt

Haunted Mansion can fit 3, depending on how big you all are (DH, DS12 and I were not comfortable in one doom buggy, but it was do-able)
iasw bench seat, can fit 4 across for sure, maybe even 5
PP there are two rows, they won't likely put a stranger in with you
Under the Sea same kind or vehicles as in HM
Dumbo not sure
Barnstormer two in a row, they will seat one directly behind the other two.
Winnie the Pooh seats like PP, they probably wont' put a stranger with you
Philharmagic auditorium with individual chairs
7DMT definitely two you might get a stranger next to you
Space Mtn three seats in the vehicle, you sit one behind the other
Carousel of Progress auditorium, with individual chairs
People Mover two rows of seat facing each other, they are highly unlikely to put a stranger with you
Astro Orbitor not sure
Buzz Lightyear three can maybe fit, depending on your sizes, but there are only two guns for playing the game
Monsters Inc auditorium, I think they are bench seats, not individual
.

Peter Pan is only one row, and I think three would be a tight fit, if one of them isn't a small child.

OP, with your daughters' ages, it shouldn't be any problem. Typically, this is a problem for people with younger kids, who aren't old enough to ride alone. You and your girls should be just fine on any ride at any park.

Haunted Mansion
iasw
PP
Under the Sea
Dumbo
Barnstormer
Winnie the Pooh
Philharmagic
7DMT
Space Mtn
Carousel of Progress
People Mover
Astro Orbitor
Buzz Lightyear
Monsters Inc

The following are not rides. They are shows and have theater type seating:
Philharmagic
Monsters Inc
Carousel of Progress (might be called a "ride" because it moves

Haunted Mansion, small people can fit 3 in a doom buggy.
IASW no problem.
Peter Pan tight fit for 3. At least one would need to be very small.
Dumbo at those ages only 2
Under the Sea with 3 full size people it would be squishy
Barnstormer only 2
Can't remember about Pooh
7DMT definitely only 2.
Space Mountain is ONE per seat. The seats are "single file" 2 seats per rocket.
People Mover, each car holds 4, maybe 6 if 2 are very small
Astro Orbiter I do not think you can get 3 people in a rocket.
Buzz Lightyear only if at least 1 person is very small. Be aware there are only 2 guns per car.

Not sure why, with the kids at those ages, you would all have to squeeze into everything together. Especially on things like Dumbo or 7DMT or Space Mountain or Astro Orbiter or Buzz Lightyear. If you're worried about "strangers" the only ride where you would have to ride with one would be 7DMT which is under 2 minutes long.

I agree with PP. Since your kids are toddlers, you'll be fine with 1 person riding alone on some rides. I definitely wouldn't change to Epcot. Go to the MK and have a ball. Most of the rides you listed, you can see the other cars/riders so even if you're not in the same seat, you can still laugh and talk.

When I traveled to WDW a few years ago as a party of 3, it was never a real problem. We took turns riding by ourselves.

Argh, maybe I'll switch to EPCOT for our first day instead. Anyone know how many people can fit in a clam mobile for The Seas??

I'm not seeing the problem. We are a three person family and none of this sounds bad. (Actually what sounds bad is squashing three into a room buggy or calm mobile)

No argh or park changing required.

Yes.

Op I have googled the ride vehicles for things I'm wondering about. Might help you ease your mind.

And remember that to the other person on mine train, YOU are the stranger.

I was talking about it to my 15 yr old (who is very gregarious and has even flown by herself and always meets new friends) and she said "I'll ride alone or with a stranger"! LOL, for some reason I thought it might be an issue (my 11 yr old is shy so she can ride with me or her sister). I guess I just wanted to be WITH them to share the fun of being on the ride together! But we'll be there with DH on a couple more days so we can always re-ride!! I was mainly just wondering which rides we'd need to split up for. I so appreciate everyone answering!!
