Just wanted to share my excitement. My guy Dan, and I are coming back to Disney World on Wednesday. Our suitcase is packed, and my manual wheelchair is currently being checked for any loose screws, nuts, or bolts to prepare it for the airline trip. My wheelchair is a Quickie 2 ultralightweight with a blue frame, and a curved handle extension on the back. We can't wait to come back. We're coming with my mom, and some of our friends. The best part is we're staying at Old Key West. It's by far hands-down my favorite Disney resort to stay at. My guy Dan, and I stayed there in 2011 when we came with our friends, and had a great time. I love how we can eat meals right in the condo without having to spend money on food in the parks. Disney World here we come! Six more days to go!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Sounds like you are really looking forward to your trip. I'm glad your so upbeat. Have a nice time.

Good for you I'm jealous I would be there right now if I could. Have lots of fun

We will be shortly behind you and are staying at Key West too. I am hoping to bring my wheelchair instead of my scooter. If you see someone in a blue, custom Ultralight Tilite chair or a red with scooter, and the rider has braces on from hip to toe, please say "Hi".

Have a good trip!

It's funny because I should be jealous (ok maybe I am a little bit lol) but I always feel really happy for total strangers heading to DW especially when they seem so excited to be going. Have a wonderful time! :yay::yay:

Thank you everyone. I'm so excited now. Part of the time I will be using a park scooter, and leaving my own personal manual wheelchair at the rental place because we are also traveling with my best friend Lorrie, and her mom. My best friend Lorrie is a wheelchair user also, and it would be hard for her mom to have to help push me if I had my manual wheelchair when my guy Dan wants to go off on his own. Or, if I'm with Dan, and it's the two of us alone. He wouldn't have to worry about pushing me in my manual wheelchair around all day.

Dan has cerebral palsy also, and can walk. But, he has a hard time reacting quickly to people who cut in front of us, or who stop in front of us.
