right now i have ME booked to go from airport to resort, then then next morning go from resort to airport. I then have RT vouchers to go from airport to port canaveral to DCL, and then again from DCL to wdw resort. After a few days there after cruise, ME again from resort back to airport.

While the ME is free, the trans from airport to port and port to wdw is not. that is $59 pp, times 6 of us, or $354.

I like the idea of not driving or worrying about getting there. We have now been thinking of maybe going to KSC after the cruise, then WDW, but cant find a way to get there without a car. So now im thinking maybe rent a mini van from dollar, drive from airport to wdw, then wdw to port, then port to ksc, then to wdw, and finally to airport when done.

this is all done from sat-sat. i just got an email and confimed a minivan rate for us is $204 for the week with taxes.

I would have to pay for gas and parking at the port, which i think is $10/day. Im am just wondering if the mini van will hold us 2 adults, and 4 kids, aged 16,15,14, and 11, plus all our luggage to and from these places??

what do you think??

should we leave the transfers alone and not go to ksc, or book the minivan?

My wife and i went 2 years ago and loved it there, the kids want to see it now.

A lot depends on how much luggage you are bringing. We have 6 in our family and have traveled to the beach for a week in our minivan with all the luggage and beach stuff (boogie boards, kites, sand toys, etc, kayak stuff - kayak was on the top) and were a little cramped, but not too bad. We packed lightly and were able to fit quite a bit under the seats.

Definitely depends on your luggage. I suggest more small bags rather than less large ones for packing reasons, and duffles can squish and pack easier. You may have to put a few under some feet or on laps, but it is possible.

We were able to fit 4 adults and 2 children and luggage in a minivan a few years ago. However, there is a "sport" version that is shorter and smaller. Don't know if there is a rental category for a full sized minivan (or one that is extended length) to guarantee the size you'll get.
