OK, now I'm even more confused.

From a DVC member, I could stay 11 nights at the Wilderness Lodge Villas for $2,300.

I could stay at Boardwalk Villas for 11 nights for $2,150.

Or, I could stay at Wilderness Lodge through Disney, for $2,500, then have the possibility of an AP discount.

What should I do?

Never stayed at either. I like the look of the WL better. I like the look of the regular WL rooms as opposed to the Villas. I also like having Mousekeeping everyday.

They are both fabulous and you really can't go wrong. We are DVC owners at Boardwalk, but we have also stayed at Wilderness Lodge and love it. Both have great pools, both are deluxe.

I can't decide. I LOVE the look and feel of the Boardwalk at night. And there's no way I could stay there for $2,100 any other way. However, I'm not crazy about the Villa look and feel.

I think I may just spend the little extra, see if I get an AP discount, and stay at Wilderness Lodge.

We have stayed at the WL (but not the Villas) and BWV. We love the look of the WL - it is just beautiful, however, you just cannot beat BWV for location - walk or boat to Epcot/MGM, the Boardwalk for entertainment, lots of restauarants within walking distance (in the other resorts, on the Boardwalk and in World Showcase). We just love that area and would highly recommend it. By the way, regarding mousekeeping, you can pay for mousekeeping when renting points (of course, that does add to your costs). What ever you decide, have fun!

I love the location of Wilderness Lodge, given that it's so close to the Magic Kingdom.

However, Boardwalk looks amazing at night. I also love the idea that you can walk to Epcot or MGM.

Decisions, decisions.

Just a thought...since you're interested in 11 days why not book the first half of trip @ one, then move on over to the other?

I assume you're aware that Sun thru Thurs @ DVC requires much less points than the weekend does. Many people move to another resort during that time...you could probably stay @ AK for less on a weekend than on points @ DVC. Good Luck.

I thought of that, and priced that out as well. I did the resort switching thing before, and while it's very easy, I'm not a huge fan of it.

I think I'm gonna go for WL. The look and feel of it appeals to me alot more. My wife has no preference either way.

First of all, the Wilderness Lodge has by far the best atmosphere of any hotel at WDW. We have never stayed there, but every time we visit, we always come away saying, next time we're going to stay here. The only problem is, it's close to nothing. There is a boat ride to the MK, but that's it. Other than the BC, the Boardwalk Resort has probably the best location of any hotel at WDW. The boardwalk next to the lake is also really neat with it's shops, and we had our best meal ever at WDW at the Flying Fish Restaurant. Hotel, or Location, it's a tough choice.

You hit the nail right on the head.

I think the advantage, for me, is that I always stay at All Stars, which is also close to nothing (except Blizzard Beach and AK, which I don't frequent). So, WL's location to MK and Epcot would be better than what I'm used to.

There's just something about the villas at the Boardwalk that I'm not sold on.

We booked our stay at VWL through Disney as well--we were told daily mousekeeping was included since it was booked as a resort stay, not through DVC. You'll have to decide whether the extra expense of booking through Disney is worth it for the mousekeeping.

No, if I go with the Villas, it would be through someone who's a member of DVC.

If I go through Disney, it would just be the Lodge, not the Villas.
