We are in the process of purchasing 150 pts at Wilderness Lodge. We were torn between WL and BW or BC. Decided on WL because we like quiet at night, and didn't want to spend the extra $$ for BC. Does anyone out there have any opinions (good or bad) on WL or BW or BC villas? We still have time to change our minds. Thanks so much!! :earsboy:

VWL is a beautiful resort, and definitely very quiet. If you go to the MK a lot, VWL has great boat transportation.

BWV & BCV are great in the location is accessible easily to Epcot and MGM. This is highly prized by many.

So a lot depends on your preferences for the Disney parks.

Keep in mind, that no matter where you purchase, you can still make reservations at any of the DVC resorts. If you won't be traveling during peak seasons, the 7-month window should not be a problem.

You can't go wrong with any of the three. WL gives you the best access to the MK, which is great for young kids, and many people love the theme. BC (our choice) is also quiet and it has a barefoot atmosphere and drop-in proximity to Epcot. BW has lots of activity and footpaths to both Epcot and MGM.

We bought at VWL because we loved the atmosphere there, even though we had only visited the lodge, not the villas. But we have been thrilled with our purchase there. We have also been to OKW and really liked it and would like the try BWV. We toured BCV but just didn't like it as well.

I preface this with- have only been to Wilderness Lodge, not any other villa.
WL is the only reason we have even thought about DVC. Still haven't bought due to some financial reasons- but pray every day that money will drop out of the sky -or wherever for that matter- earmarked for DVC Wilderness Lodge!

If quiet, peaceful, western, smell of pinon pine, fireplaces, rocking chairs, beautiful pioneer/Indian themed music, mission style, River runs through it, big Montana sky country.....is not your thing- then this is not a place for you. Those who don't like it usually describe it as too dark and "backwoods???? Huh?" It is far from backwoods. I guess maybe those folks like more of a classic or hustle bustle style. It is heaven on earth to me. Especially after a long day in the parks.

Enjoy yourself with whatever you decide! ::MickeyMo

If I could buy (just bought at SSR) at the VWL tonight, I would put the check in the mail before daylight---we love it! Especially if you like "quiet".....

boardwalk offers it all--food, boats to the parks, magicians, great pool, shopping, view of epcot, bikes. We love it. There is no wait like there is at bcv to buy. :cool1:

I would suggest that you really "search your heart" to buy where you want to own. We originally bought at BWV and VWL...and sold them after we fell in love with BCV....it was a very expensive "lesson".

If one resort is "calling to you" more than any others...please think about buying there. There really is no better feeling than owning where you love...it is an unexplainable high.

If VWL is calling your name...then, you made the right choice!!!

Good luck in your decision!! Having so many places to choose from can sometimes be a curse!!!

It's strictly a matter of personal taste, IMHO. There are many VWL lovers (including DH and me) who bought there because we stayed at WL many times and loved the serenity and the decor. We waited until the VWL were built to make our first purchase and turned down an add-on at BWV (when they were scarce and in huge demand) because we only wanted VWL.

There's also a big contingent of people who want the space of OKW (it, too, has lots of serenity and we stay there ~ 50% of the time).

And a big contingent who want to be in the center of the action and love BWV / BCV and think other properties are b-o-r-i-n-g and VWL is dark and depressing............... all the greater chance of availability when we want to vacation!

Good luck deciding and hope you're happy with your purchase! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We loved staying in Wilderness Lodge and knew that the Villas would be a great fit for us. Each of those that you've mentioned has something unique to offer, as kda explained. No matter what you decide on, I hope you enjoy.

VWL is perfect for you if quiet at night is what you're looking for. After busy days in the parks it is so beautiful, serene, and relaxing especially when you walk into the lobby of the villas themselves.

Well, obviously I am partial to VWL, but we also own at the Beach Club. They are both wonderful resorts. I have to say that Wilderness is my favorite, and that being the smaller resort, you get a little more peace and quiet, yet three great places to eat. The Beach Club and Boardwalk are very convenient to Epcot and MGM, but you can always catch the bus over and walk in or drive over and park since members have free parking at the beach club and boardwalk and walk in from there, we do that sometimes just to enjoy the atmosphere of the boardwalk and eat at the Flying Fish. Good Luck! :earsgirl:
