Hi there...I am new to renting points and I don't know if it may be still too early. We are planning a family vacation for next end Feb/beginning March- dates are fairly flexible but we wanted to be in Disney World over March 1st for a family celebration. We would really love to stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Does anyone know how many points that would be and does anyone have this many points available for rent? Also are the villas in the same area as the regular Wilderness Lodge resort...in other words can I still use the amenities from Wilderness Lodge even though I'm staying in the villas? Sorry to ask so many questions..thanks in advance,
Paula

VWL is connected to WL by a covered walkway and it shares the front desk and main pool with the main resort.

You should post the number of days you are interested in renting and approximate dates you will want on the DVC Rent/Trade Board. Weekdays (Sun-Thurs) will use 40 points per night and weekend nights use 75 per night. Don't be too concerned about the number of points (use that only as a reference for the total cost) since you will only be renting a reservation from a member and can't use points yourself in any fashion. Be sure to compare the cost from a DVC member to the cost for the same reservation made directly thru Disney.

Members may reserve 11 months ahead- so late February/early March, 2006 can be reserved in the next few weeks by a VWL owner.

If you have any other questions about the resort or the general rental process, please feel free to ask them right here on the DVC Board.

Please post the number of days you'd like and approximate dates on the Rent/Trade Board and see if a member can assist. You can also respond to one of the offers to rent posted by DVC members.

Good luck!

Paula,

We just did the late February-early March for one week at WLV. We had a wonderful time. As Doc shared, you do get a chance to use all of the Wilderness Lodge amenities. At check-in, we even requested to get on the Flag Family list and got to participate in the Flag Ceremony on our last day there. The kids love swimming at the Resort's main pool and we hit the arcade for my six-year old DS a couple of times as well.

You've picked a great time of year to go. Have fun!

Chris
