I noticed that there is a honeymoon suite at the Wilderness Lodge. Has anyone stayed there and would be able to tell me if it is worth the extra cash to stay there as opposed to a standard room? I just wanted know what are the special features to the honeymoon suite. If anyone can reply, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Rich, I answered this on the other thread but thought I would put it here too in case anyone else was wondering...

The Honeymoon suites are on the 7th floor, which is concierge so you will have concierge access. They are about average in size but they all have a king size bed and a jetted tub. The tub is really the only thing that would be different from have a regular king bed room. They are all lobby rooms meaning that when you walk out of your door you are overlooking the lobby. There are 2 on each side so 2 face the villas and 2 face MK if you request one of the North facing rooms the view of MK is nice (and you can see the fireworks as you are higher then the trees from those rooms).

We stayed in one for our honeymoon. Ours faced the MK. It was nice to be on the concierge floor and I liked overlooking the lobby. The room was nice, but not much different from a regular room. The spa tub was also nice to have too...although I am vertically challenged (LOL!) and it was hard climbing in and out of the tub as it is up pretty high (almost as if on a platform). I even asked conceirge for a step stool, but they didn't have one.

thanks everyone for all the great replys, I've never stayed at the Wilderness Lodge before and I'm really looking forward to it.

Is trying to get an MK view at the Wilderness lodge worth it? Or should I go with the Courtyard/Bay Lake view?

Im curious which is the best route for a nice view to relax and wind down...

Frankly I do not think there are many bad views here (I love WL), but have always had courtyard view and love it!! it is a real quiet and peaceful resort and it is fun to see the pool, lake and nightime water parade from your balcony. This is my favorite resort (rest of the family love AKL then WL)........

For a honeymoon suite, MK view is worth asking for... only because your options are MK view or a view of the Villas building. For a regular room, I agree with kathy.
