Sorry to hear about the noise, that is one thing I was worried about when booking the WL for our August trip. Maybe since it was underway it will be done before we get there. I can't wait to see any pictures of the rehab rooms! :cool1:

I am also going in August..and was concerned about this..as I heard Concierge was going to be the last to get redone. I emailed the Concierge..and they told me all renovations should be complete by July and should not interfere with our stay :cool1:

for our stay 8/25 - 9/3. Hoping a BIG FRIENDLY SMILE will get us an upgrade, if not, oh well!! Too long to go, wishing the summer away.

Pooch

PS - Look, I have an avatar! Little things excite me! :teeth:

:confused3

I've been trying all week to get our standard view rooms changed to Courtyard View & there aren't any; we will be staying @ WL 11/25 - 12/02/06
On 11/25 - we got the 1st night courtyard view (room only reservation) with a AAA discount. But....unsuccessful in our attempts to upgrade our package but we have until November :hourglass . I have faith & hopefully some pixie dust pixiedust: will just fall our way.

You're going during the time when the resort is decorated for the holidays, though. So, you might want to consider a lobby view just for the beautiful decorations. Last year we booked woods view because I wanted our room to open to the lobby. I was SO glad that I did. It was stunning -- we could just walk out of our room (5th floor) and see the beautfiul tree and the lights. At night, I stood on the balcony overlooking the lobby and listened to a musical group singing Chrismas carols. It could not have been better.

We've stayed courtyard, too, and that is very nice. But during the Christmas season I would want to stay in a room that opened to the lobby. (Some have reported that they are bothered by the noise coming up from the lobby, but I never could hear it once in my room).

Enjoy! The WL is a wonderful resort!

Just returned too and had room 5149 while my parents had room 5155. Neither of us heard any noise except the fireworks at midnight from the grad night going on at Mk. Never saw any construction either. The courtyard was a little loud but enjoyed hearing the sounds of the water and people in the pools. Concerning the boats we rented a car but took the boats all 4 times we went to Mk and never had a long wait except for one night at park closing had to wait for the thrid boat but during the day they were timely and were always there for us. Let me know if there are any other questions I can help with.

Does anyone know if all rooms are being rehabded? When will they all be finished?

Yes..they are all being rehabbed..and the rehab should be completed in July :goodvibes

Okay seriously, I have the BEST answer to this!!! WHY?! Because the WL was on Great Hotels today!!! :thumbsup2 The host of the show said that there just isn't a "bad view" in the place so she reccommended spending extra money on something else and not worry about the "view"!! Cuz the view is good no matter where you stay!!:)

I want to stay at the WL so so so much...i'm working on the DF every day...Mr. "Why pay deluxe prices for a room we aren't going to BE in all that much..." (even though we SO could afford it *pout* ;) )

Have a FANTASTIC time...the resort is truly spectacular!! Have a rock in the rocking chairs by the fire for me!!! :rotfl:

Thanks to DisOrBust who hit the nail right on the head about only courtyard and conceierge available the week after Thanksgiving. I swear everybody is going to Wilderness Lodge that week. I booked today through AAA, courtyard view - also priced going directly through Disney yesterday. So I'm all set - I'm sure it will be great - sounds wonderful - we ate at Artist Pointe, our last trip in 2000 - but it was evening - I'm sure we will enjoy the resort very much - we really appreciate all the helpful info.

Hi We booked a standard room last June and we were upgraded for free to conceirge at checkin. It was a huge surprise. We definitely weren't expecting that. Our room had a direct view of Cinderella's castle so we watched the fireworkds everynight with our 2 year old and 1 year old in the room. It was perfect for us.

We are planning on going this December and my DH wants to book conceirge. He is hooked. I would be happy with anything. The resort is just so beautiful and peaceful. It's definitely my favorite. I just can't wait to see it all decorated for the holidays
