Wilderness Lodge vs. Polynesian

I'll vote for the other side. My kids are a little older, teenagers, but they prefer the WL. We love being able to rent bikes and ride around FW. The nature trail between WL and FW is very relaxing and we see lots of wild life.
We find the POLY to be very busy and crowded, especially the main building.
There is a resort for everyone, but I think two rooms at WL would give you alot more room.

We've stayed at both also and are a family of 5 with bigger kids. The rooms are very good sized at the Poly and we have never had any issue's with there not being enough space for us all. We love both resorts for different reasons. But always prefer the Poly due to the monorail and theming. :)

You cannot see the Castle at WL. People have said you can see the top of Wishes at WL, but we were never in the right place at the right time. quote]

We had a great view of the castle from our room at the WL in January. We also had a nice night in the hottub watching wishes (no, it wasn't as much as we'd see if we were at the poly, but it was still very cool to be relaxing and seeing the fireworks above the trees.

We've stayed at both and love them both so I'm probably not much help. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I think it's a wash because at the WL you'll have more room and at the Poly you have the monorail, so -

look at pictures and pick the theme that appeals to you the most.

I've stayed at both and both are wonderful resorts, as far as theme my family prefers the WL but that's us. We've been to Hawaii several times so I guess the Poly doesn't seem as unique for our family.

You can't lose whichever you pick, that's the upside :thumbsup2

(You can see some of the higher fireworks from Wishes from the WL beach, along with the ELP. )

I would have to say if it's closer to Christmas I would choose WL, the decoratons are just so beautiful!! I've never stayed in either so I can't really comment on rooms, but I would love to try both!

We've stayed at both and while WL is very nice the Poly is better. The rooms are larger and the ease of getting to the MK and Epcot is outstanding.

I debated this same thing. My 2 boys are so far apart in age that I need 3 beds, as they won't share a bed. I could have gone for 2 rooms at the WL or 1 room at the Poly or CR. I decided against the WL because it would have been much more expensive. I also really do enjoy the idea of being on the monorail because that allows my family to split up if anyone needs to take a break from the parks.

Wow, never knew you could see the Castle from WL. We were told we could see the top of Wishes, but we had a hard time finding a clear view. We definitely didn't see the Castle, though, so it's good to know the Castle is viewable at WL too! We must've been too busy looking up in the sky for the fireworks that we totally missed the Castle.

I've stayed at both (and I'll be returning to the WL this December). I think you can't go wrong with either choice. If I was in the same position, I'd pick the Poly just for the Monorail and the MK view. Plus a short walk to the TTC gets you on the road to Epcot.
