Wilderness Lodge-Standard view vs. Courtyard view

I booked two standard rooms at Wilderness Lodge for our stay in August...I was debating between these and a courtyard view but would love to save the money. Am I going to regret booking a standard view? Any good two standard rooms to request?

We always tend to book standard views because we don't spend much time in our rooms anyways. Even if we do spend time in our rooms, we are barely out on the balconies or looking out our window. We would rather spend the money on other Disney things. I will say though, in the past our standard view has been either of treetops or parking lots when staying at Wilderness Lodge. If you would rather people watch and have a better view then the courtyard view would be the way to go. Just depends on your preferences (I know that isn't super helpful)!

There are some standard rooms that have views of the Contemporary main tower and Magic Kingdom. The higher you go, the better the view. I think chances are you'll be perfectly happy with a standard view. if you want to check it out, you can look at room views on Touring Plans.

We've stayed in all levels of rooms at WL and have just booked standard rooms for August. Although, I enjoyed the courtyard view of the pooI, there is no way I can justify the almost grand extra for the week. I would just request an upper level room and you'll be fine.

I would stick to standard view and request a high floor. I find the rooms that face the courtyard can get a bit noisy, IMHO.
