Wilderness Lodge sleigh Ride

Does anyone know off hand when you can start booking reservations for this?
Is it the same as the restaurants (180 days), or is it like a three month kind of thing. I tried looking it up, but I couldn't find anything about when they start taking ressies.
BTW, we will be there from Dec. 2 to the 9th, so right now I'm approaching the 180 day mark.

I'm curious too! We will have my in'laws with us, total group size will be 6. Can we all fit in 1 sleigh?

We've done it a couple times. It is $30 for a 1/2 hr plus add a tip. You leave from the front of the WL and head toward the petting zoo down the path thru the woods. Once we turned around and went back the same way, another time I believe we took the road back to WL. It is cute & festive. There are bells on the harnesses and it's a pretty red "sleigh" with greenery decorating it. It's nice to get some hot chocolate and sing Xmas carols as you ride.

As for party size....we had 5 (2 adults, one 16 yr old, and two little girls 10 and 6) and fit perfectly. I would think it would depend on the kids' ages and sizes how well you'd fit with 6.

One important thing....they do this at the campground, too, and last year we had concierge make the ressie for us - well, we showed up at WL like I planned, but the ressie was made for the campground. BUMMER. We were walking away disappointed when the driver took pity on us & said he'd fit us in and he did. (he got a BIG tip that night) Just be careful about ressie location.

Have fun! We did this on our Xmas stay, but I don't think they were even booking until sometime in Sept for any dates.

We did it last year. We enjoyed it quite a bit. It was a nice break from all the 'action'. We were there during Dec, so there were sleigh bells and such. We got some hot chocolate at WL to take with us. We went out through the woods, it was very quiet, our driver was definitely the silent type LOL

I just looked it up and it says you can have either 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 or 3 children. We had 2 adults, 2 children and fit perfect. I think it would be a really tight squeeze for 6.FONT]

You're welcome! I might add that I found this information under the Recreation section of the DIS home page. There is everything from the Richard Petty Driving Experience to Horseback Riding. Lots of good info out there! I'm thinking I may surprise my family with the sleigh ride during our next trip.
