I'm thinking of staying 4 days at the Wilderness Lodge. Would four people be cramped in a standard room? How's the resort itself?

Thanks! :surfweb: :confused3 :smickey:

We have stayed with 4- 2 adults, 2 kids (8,4) there was plenty of room. We love the WL! The kids love the pool, fairly small, easy to get around, nice boat ride to Mk!

From what I have read, the standard rooms are 340 square feet. That's the same size as the rooms at the CBR. We've stayed there twice and had plenty of room for 4 people. We have our first trip to the WL planned for May/June, 2008 and we can hardly wait!

Personally, I felt cramped, and I had 2 kids, 2 adults, and an infant. We're staying at the CR next time.

Took a solo trip with my two sons (12 & 10) and also felt cramped. Much preferred prior stays at the Poly and CR when DH was with us, too. I wasn't thrilled with the Lodge overall.

I've traveled to the WL with myself, DH and DD's since they were 5 and 7..strollers and all. They are now 12 and 14..I've never felt cramped there..but we don't spend an enormous amount of time in the room. The place is just too beautiful to spend that much time in there..the pool, the lobby, the concierge lounge..etc...that's where we hang out :)

DH and I felt cramped and it was just the two of us.

Just got back a month ago, with Sis, DS15 and DD9. We had plenty of room, never felt crowded at all.

Myself (in my 20s) and my parents (in their 50s) all stayed in 1 room at WL in 2005 and didn't feel cramped at all. We are usually a Moderate Resort family, and the room was definitely bigger, plus we had a balcony. The Unofficial Guide lists Caribbean Beach rooms and all other mod. rooms at 314 square feet. WL (and AKL) rooms are 344 square feet. Really depends on how much personal space y'all need, I'd say. Have a great stay, whatever you decide! The Lodge is a truly magical place though; beautiful setting, nice change from the parks, and the boats to MK, FW, and the Contemporary are great. It is my favorite resort of all, and I can't wait to get back there in May! :goodvibes

We just got back in Feb and we had myself,DH,ds6,ds3, and an infant with a pack n play up and we had plenty of room. We do not spend a lot of time in our room but when we were there we felt like we had enough room.

The room size is 344 same as AKL it looks smaller due to dark wood. My DH & I stay there for most of our Disney trips & loved it. Didn't feel cramp at all guess it what you want in a room. Though I might not want to have 4 adults in the same room but this is how I feel.

Thanks for the replies!! I reason I asked was I am second guessing by choices. Orig booked for 7 days at the Doubletree in DTD. Then I get the 40% off code. I booked the last 3 days at BC (when they are only 5 of us) keeping DTS for the first four when there will be 6 (my sister in law is coming). We could book two rooms at WL, if I could still get 40% off. I just not sure I want to give up the extra space!! Though, it sounds so nice!!!:confused3
