I really need your guys help were going on our 1st visit and staying on a standard woods view.I really would like to stay were we can walk out our room and see the lobby,or the one that looks out towards magic kingdom. What would you ask for a room request if you had the woods view?

I'm in the same boat as you! First WL stay and trying to figure out what request to make... I'll be interested in seeing responses.

Are you staying in a Standard View or a Woods View? The two are different. We are staying at the WL for the first time this summer in a Standard view. Does anybody have any suggested locations. We will have two adults and two eight year-olds, so I think we will spend a lot of time at the MK and the pool. We also will do breakfast at RF most mornings.

Does anyone know if you can request a specific view at the Villas? My 1st time doing the Villas, so I wasn't sure if we could request a room view. Thanks!

We have a woods view room, & I have a few questions about what we might end up with...

1) Is there a chance of getting a room with a queen and bunk beds? My boys would love that.

2) What's the best place to go for quiet rooms? (I am a light sleeper.)

3) Can you see Cinderella Castle from any woods view rooms? Or only at certain times of the year? (We'll be there in summer time.)

4) Are we likely to end up with long walks to our rooms or are elevators conveniently placed so that you don't end up with walking way down a hall on the first floor to the elevator, only to go up and walk way down yet another hall?

Thanks for any help!

the unoffical guide has a complete list of rooms and floors which ones face where odds and evens. They do this for every resort

There aren't specific, bookable view categories at the Villas like there are at the Lodge....no Courtyard or Woods view.

Most of the villas overlook woods, a few overlook the quiet pool and have a partial view of Bay Lake. I've had both views, both are really pleasant.

Our first time at WDW was in Dec 08 at WL and our room was a Woods View Room# 6086. It overlooked the lobby and in the morning, you could hear the music. It was really nice to wake up to the Nutcracker music lol but i dunno, some people might like a quieter morning. We just requested a room in the upper levels and mentioned it was our first time at disney and that it was our honeymoon.

http://users.hartwick.edu/heydukr/wlrooms.htm This site shows the room numbers at the WL. Wood view rooms that we have enjoyed are 5032 and 5034. These rooms face the MK and overlook the "otter pond". You get a view of the fireworks and when we were there 3 or 4 years ago we could see the castle through the trees.

The queen beds/bunk beds are available for Woods or Courtyard view. They do cost more than the regular Woods or Courtyard view. So if you are willing to pay the upgrade, you could probably get bunkbeds. I debated it - but didn't want to deal with the "I get to sleep in the top bed" arguement each night! :lmao: So regular Woods view for us!!!
