wilderness Lodge Rollaway? 3 kids - need help!

Does the Wilderness Lodge have rollaway beds? We are traveling with 3 kids - infant, 4 year old girl and a 14 year old boy who is as big as an adult. The 4 yo girl and 14 yo boy can not share a bed. The 14 year old boy is too big for the bunk beds (I think!) as he is 6 feet tall and almost 190 lbs. The infant will sleep in a porta crib so no trouble there......

Any suggestions on how I can fit these 3 kids plus 2 adults into a standard room?

Disney doesn't supply roll-aways at any of their resorts. The bunk beds are standard twin size, so the 14 year old might be comfortable on the top bunk. I remember the weight limit beig 225 lbs, I think. Also, the room isn't all that big, and there wouldn't be room for a pack-n-play and a rollaway anyway. You could get the room with two queens and have the 14 YO with Dad and you could sleep with your DD.

If you didn't need the pack n play, I'd suggest an aerobed for the 4 yo, but I'm not sure about the floor space. Those rooms are pretty small. Nice, though! There is an aero toddler bed, but I can't remember what it's called. It might be too small for a 4 yo.

I can't picture my DH sleeping with 6 ft tall guy, so I'm guessing that won't work for you either!

I hope you can figure out something.

Can someone compare the size of the room to another resort room? How small are we talking?

I think your son will fit fine on the bunkbed. We have had adults in our party sleep on them and they are similar to his size.

I just talked to disney reservations today and was told that they do not permit 5 (4 kids age 4 through 13 and 1 adult) in a standard room at WL.

I have read on this board a few weeks ago that you can get a rollaway in some of the rooms at Coronado. Or you could get a room at Port Orleans in the Riverside section. Some of these rooms have a trundle bed that would fit your 4 yr. old. It might be a bit crowded with the porta crib though.

Did they stop doing this? We got a rollaway at the All Star Sports when we stayed there in December of 2000. As long as the number of people is kosher, they will provide it no matter which resort it is (at least in 2000 they would).

As for their being a need, I agree with you, I think he would be able to fit into a bunk bed. However, if they need to, it would be a tight squeeze, but the room is bigger than what we had at the All Stars.

That's correct. But, they do allow 4 people plus 1 child under the age of 2.

When I made my reservation they didn't say anything about not allowing 2 adults, 2 children and an infant in the room. What the CRO agent told me was that the infant isn't really part of the reservation anyway, they just noted that I needed a crib. They didn't even ask her name. However, with the package I did have to give the exact names of the other children - presumably for the UPH passes.

4 people plus an infant is fine. The infant doesn't count.

I have seen roll away beds in the halls at the GF, but I don't know about the WL. I'd say probably not because the rooms are too small. I really think your son is going to fit fine on the bunk bed. My husband slept on the bottom bunk at the Wilderness Cabins and was just fine.
