Is it hard to get ressies at the wilderness lodge 1 bedroms in sept? I plan on booking right at my 7 month window, but you never know. I tried to do that today for BWV standard view for march and there was nothing left. Now I am worried about trying for WL for next sept. ::MickeyMo

Hard to say exactly. On the plus side, it will be after the school year has started and during a time when the parks generally are a bit less crowded (unless you're talking Labor Day weekend). On the downside, 1BRs are very popular and VWL is a smaller resort. However, my DW, DD4, and I managed to snag a 1BR in late August last year at just under the 7-month window when our other choices--BWV, BCV, & OKW--weren't available. So it is quite possible. Keep in mind the lack of openings at BWV in March might be due to spring break activity. Good luck! BTW, VWL is sensational. . . :paw:

We got a studio for 6 nights (8/30-9/5) when I called about 45 days out. I also called about 2 weeks ago about upgrading to 1 bdrm (in-laws coming to stay!) and we could have done it for all 6 nights w/ no problem.

September is an easier time than March, so I'm sure you will be able to get something at VWL at 7 months. If not, the waitlist should work well that far out and for a slow time like that.

And there are more 1 Bedroom at VWL than there are standard view 1 bedrooms at BWV. Standard views at BWV are tough to get most times of the year.

gabbysmom04 - I think you will get your 1 bedroom at the VWL in September at the 7 month mark. My advice is to call as soon as the 7 month window opens for your first night and reserve it. Ask the CM how availability looks for the rest of your stay. If the CM says no problem, you'll only need to make one more call (at the 7 month window for the last day of your stay, you can reserve all the remaining days). If the CM says not so good, call day by day and waitlist for the days you can't get right awqay. FWIW, I don't think you will have to waitlist or make more than two calls to get your reservation.

Best wishes -

thank you for the help. I know it is a little far out I try to figure out how many points I will use so I can plan another vacation.

Actually, you should be abe to tell EXACTLY how many points you will need, since September point costs don't change.

what I mean is I have a number of vacations planned, So I try to figure out what each trip will be in points so I know what to bank and how many I can use on my next trip. :flower:

We booked at our home resort (SSR) and then changed our ressie at the 7mth window to WLV---during the second week of Sept-Studio, for a couple reasons, personally, I love the DTD area and was looking forward to staying at SSR-we have stayed at WL twice, loved it both times, and wanted a friend of our DD (who will be accompaning us again--her family has never been able to do WDW at all, much less a deluxe resort) to experience the "Lodge!" It's such a MAGICAL place----the second reason was that the transportation is a little easier from WLV andsince the girls are older, may be able to venture out alone---w/o DH and I, but WITH a cell so that we will be in constant contact---
