Wilderness Lodge Pool ?

Does it have a Slide? TYIA:confused:

Yes, it does have a slide. It's not super long, but it does curve. My daughter loved it, but I understand it's not the most exciting slide in the world.

The WL is amazing though! :goodvibes

Just returned from WL today.
Slide is very tame . All I ever saw were small children on it .
No fences on either pool .

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

WL pool is too small for the resort.
Ducks swim in it.
Found it to be dirty at times.
People swim in it 24 hours x 7 days a weeks.
Do not get a pool view room - too noisey.
We did not like  the WL pool.

I somewhat agree with PP

Pool is Small
Ducks swim in every WDW pool so that is nothing new.
I've stayed at WL on a couple of different occasions and never noticed the pool being dirty.
People do swim late but it is not 24x7
We had a courtyard pool view room on each of our stays and didn't have much problem with the noise although we were on the top floor so that may have had some effect.

Also, the slide is probably the most tame on property. If you have smaller kids might just be the perfect intro to pool slides for them.

My 4 yr old nephew absolutely loved the slide, he wore a life vest & rode it over & over. I waited at the end of the slide in the pool while my sister waited at the top. He was so excited to go on it that he wanted to run to the slide. I had to remind him no running in the pool area:)

we never saw any ducks and certainly didnt have any issues with it not being clean. The slide is tame, but my 10yo & I both went on it and loved it.

A pet peeve I have, Just like anywhere that has deck chairs, people still dump there towels to reserve. It is one thing that annoys me about any pool. I wish Disney had a system to make it fair for everyone.

Sad to hear about the pool, although we don't plan on swimming much. How are the hot tubs there?

Actually the most tame slide on property is at Port Orleans French Quarter. My kids thought that slide was super "lame". They have never complained about the slide at WL, and we've stayed there plenty of times.

While I do feel the pool is small, especially in the middle of summer, we like the pool at WL. It has always been clean on our visits, and we have seen ducks swim in just about all the resort pools in WDW. We even had a snake in the pool with us at Riverside once. The pool at WL isn't our favorite pool, but it's definitely not the worst on property.

My girls loved the WL pool when they were 6 and 4. The slide was perfect. When they were 8 and 6, Stormalong Bay was better for them.

Is Roaring Fork near the pool?

This photo should give you an idea.

The steps that you can see at the bottom right hand side of the picture goes up to the corridor where Roaring Fork is. You can see the outside area near the umbrellas also and the pool is right there!

I have a system. Just wait 30 to 45 minutes. If nothing has moved and no one has come around, take over. At the beach club, people would routinely save chairs at both ends of the pool with a single towel. Didn't work with us around! As a family of 5, we only need one anyway.

We loved the pool and found it clean and duck free...slide is tame but our kids loves it.
