Wilderness Lodge Photo Thread- Please feed my addiction!!

I'm planning a trip for May 2010 and wondered if the villas had been updated. I know the lodge rooms were done, but I cannot seem to find anything about the villas. Does anyone know??

I love the pictures of the resort...keep them coming! I cannot wait until we are there next year!! My husband loves the mountains so I thought this would be a good compromise...I get my Disney and he gets his "mountains." :) I had to twist his arm to go to Florida again next year, but I absolutely love Disney and know DS 2 & DS 5 will have so much fun!

Can we get some pics of the pool area? I've only skimmed through (there are 91 pages, and there's only so much time in each day... ...). I have DD4 who would love to have a water slide like we had last year at AKL, and then we'd like to know if they have the smooth transition into the water- like at AKL, or at the beach- walk in slowly, no stairs required. Thanks very much!!

I was so excited I shot my husband a link to the info of WL. I just KNOW my folks would like this resort.

He has decided we need to get them a combo x-mas, mom and dad's days, and 40th anniversary gifts for 2010.

I can hardly wait for May 2010. WOOT!! WL here we come!

The pool is not zero entry. There are pics posted of the pool on Trip Advisor. I imagine there are some posted somewhere on this thread or the resort photos board, but like you said it's a lot to go through. Look the Villas up on TA and you will see a couple. :)

Just booked this yesterday for 8 nights the 1st week of October. I'm so excited and hopefully this thread/site will keep the magic going until arrival. Families 1st trip to Dis so really looking forward to visiting. Currently live @ the foothills of the Great Smokie's and look out my back door to the mountains everyday but this still seems to def offer something different. Just loving the whole nature/woodsy theme!!!:goodvibes

btw-do any of the rooms get a glimpse of the Castle and/or fireworks or do the trees block everything...just wondering. Also, I remember reading something about balconies on certain floors where you have to stand-up to see or something? Hopefully we can avoid one of these but will love it either way.

Had an awesome stay at the WL (the best Disney hotel!!) here are some pics I posted in my TR

Great pics, Thanks for posting. I needed some new ones to get me through the last 17 days before we get our turn to stay at WL for the first time.:thumbsup2

These photos are absolutely breathtaking!

DH says as long as we get a code (ANY code!) we can stay here in January - crossing my fingers for anything (even a coupon for a free coke... hey, a code's a code :rotfl2:)!!!

Yep - my wife and I stayed a week in WL in 2005 on our honeymoon. We checked into the honeymoon suite and our intial thoughts were -

1/ View was of the parking lot. Not impressed.
2/ The room was small.
3. It was loud - situated right next to the concierge level breakfast nook.

We stayed one night in it and armed with those three points above talked to reception the next day. Though the room cost more, I requested a pool view room as a swap. We were more than pleased with this type of room on our last couple of visits to WL. Unexpectedly, the reception staff put us in room 7123 - the Yellowstone Suite. It was bigger than our apartment! These photos don't do it justice, but here you go (new comp and no Photoshop yet, so apols about the huge pic size) -

WOW!
Thanks for all the great pics, everyone...I don't know how I haven't found this thread before, but it is great to get a little "WL fix" to tide me over until I can go "Home" in Dec.

Wow, that Yellowstone Suite is SWEET !!!

I sure wish I could afford that, but that is larger than my apt, my son & I may get lost in there !!!:santa::santa::santa:

Amazing suite! I'd never want to leave---this whole lodge looks so warm, inviting & just a nice place to be and unwind after a long day at the park(s) :goodvibes
