wilderness lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge?

We decided to splurge and really have fun this time at Disney and I was looking into wilderness vs. Animal Kingdom. any thoughts on which is better? we are traveling with our two year old ds and I think he'd love the animals at the AKL but the beach and pools at WL might entice him as well (altho - how much time am I going to spend at the pool an hour?). we are only going for two nights/three days this time around.

any pros and cons? Also - is it really worth it to get a savanah room?

I vote for WL due to the proximity to the MK. Having travelled to WDW with kids that age an afternoon nap for everyone is a must. WL has a resort launch that takes you to the Magic Kingdom and back in about 15 minutes. Believe me, it's great to just leave MK and walk to the boat ramp instead of having to wait for a bus and then pray for a seat while holding a crabby toddler! :) Enjoy your trip, at the age your son is, it it will be a great memory. There's nothing like seeing the MK through the eyes of a two year old!

I personally dont care to stay at either but I would think WL would be better b/c of the close proximity to MK...

Since your ds is 2 I would vote for WL - wait until he not napping and a little older to enjoy the animals to stay at AKL. MK will be your main focus on this trip w/ your sons age so WL is so much easier.
