Any chance there may be information on progress of refurbishments and how it may change room types for example the change from one queen bed and bunks and what the new category might be like two queens or one king? Thanks.

The website reflects the accurate bookable room categories at WL (although pictures are not updated): https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/wilderness-lodge-resort/rates-rooms/

From reports, they in the later stages of finishing the rooms the bottom few levels. It looks like everything will be complete by the time the hotel-side reopens 6/6.

I appreciate your response. With the wdw web they list standard view king category. That catergory may or may not have existed previously. I suspect no, for Touring Plans does not list this as a category. I researched the best I could the king rooms, but there were few in this category, thus my question and confusion. I thought maybe because they were eliminating the one queen, bunk bed category, those were being changed to king rooms? Maybe not, but was hoping to get a sense of the view for the "new?" standard king bed category. I am curious if they are changing some of the nature views to standard? Not a huge issue, but trying to decide between Copper Creek Villa deluxe studio or Wilderness Lodge Standard King. If anyone has stayed in both, I am curious if you had a preference. Open balcony or patio is the most important to us, I am a little claustrophobic, Thanks.

The king category is brand new and I don’t think anyone would know about the rooms until after the resort reopens. They are probably scattered around the resort the way the former bunk bed rooms were. :)

Does anyone know when we can book the lodge rooms?

I didn’t even realize they were being refurbished when I priced a trip for mid June and they were an option. The CM told us about the new rooms when we booked a few weeks ago.

And definitely no bunk beds anymore- I asked and they are gone and no longer an option when booking.

They had brought the King room online sometime shortly before they closed, I remember seeing it when we booked our trip for Christmas 2020 (way back in September 2019). Now the bunk bed rooms are no longer available so you would have no issue accidentally booking that and then them changing it since they have taken out all bunk beds (which is a bummer because that's one of the reason my kids loved that resort since they hate sharing a bed).
