Wilderness Lodge for one evening...what to do?

We will only be there for one night in Oct. We get in around 3pm. We have two small kids. What are the best things to do just for one night at this resort? We will also have the first half of the next morning.

Make sure to try out Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner! Also, spend some time by the pool and take a look at the grounds.

Another vote for Whispering Canyon for dinner, it's a lot of fun for small kids. Last trip we went down to the beach to watch the fireworks at the Mk, if there are some on your night, that was fun too. Or just hang out at the pool

Make sure you take the free boat ride to the park, don't have to get off just take the ride around on the boat to see the sites. Also you can take the boat to Fort Wilderness campgrounds, they have a little farm with horses and some other animals, might be a nice way to spend some time, they also have the hoop de do revue, finally did it this time that was nice as well you will wish you had more time when all is said and done enjoy

Ok, I just made ADR's for Wispering Canyon Cafe. They only had availablity after 8:30, hoping for a cancellation!

Wasnt there somethign about a campifre, or was that at Fort Wilderness?

fort wilderness, check some of the shows there too, 5 minute ride by boat,

You can get a sheet of clues at the registration desk and go on a Hidden Mickey hunt around the resort. There are several of them to locate
