Hi we just changed some of our ressies, we added three night at wilderness lodge (thought we would like to try it out). The three nights we will be there are January 5, 6, 7th. I remember reading somewhere that the dining area will be closing sometime in January. :wave2: Could someone tell me if and when that is scheduled to take place and what other options are available for a family of four. Thank you for your help.

Roaring Fork is the counter service type restaurant that is slated to close, although I don't know when that is happening.

There are several other options at the Lodge.

1. Whispering Canyon Cafe - breakfast, lunch and dinner. I like it here, but it's noisy and can get crowded. Make ADR's as soon as you can!

2. Artist Point - dinner. Expensive and probably not as kid-friendly as Whispering Canyon.

3. The Mercantile - this is the gift shop, but they sell a lot of food items due to the Villas. YOu can buy cereal, milk, juice, donuts, snacks, etc. Since you can get a fridge in your room for free, we always stock up on milk and cereal and sometimes bread and peanut butter and jelly.

4. Miss Jenny's In-Room Dining - room service. Expensive, but what room service isn't?

You can take a small boat to the Contemporary resort and eat at the Food and Fun Center, Concourse Steakhouse or Chef Mickey's. For the last two, I would highly suggest making ADR's!

Hope this helps.

PS - we LOVE the WL! IT's amazing! Enjoy it!

Thanks so much for all the help and the quick response. We really appreciate the info. We had our first trip to Disney last year Dec. 28-Jan 5th, it was wonderful. We stayed at the French Quarter and loved it. This year we are staying two weeks and doing the FQ, WL and AKL. DH is running the half marathon so it should be exciting. DS's -8 and 9 still don't know we are going again. Haven't decided when and how to tell them. DH and I are so excited its difficult to keep it quiet. Thanks again for the help, so much to learn. Bye for now. :flower:

Roaring Forks won't be closing until January 9.
