Wilderness Lodge Construction question.

Hi. I booked Wilderness lodge back in Early January. I do not recall all the construction notices when I booked. I really do not remember seeing that roaring forks will also be closed. Was that anounced back in January? I imagine the notice was there for the DVC construction. Just beginning to wonder If made a bad choice with Wilderness Lodge this year.

We are staying late August of this year. Does anyone know when the notice was posted for Roaring Forks closure?

Has anyone been who can tell me how much of an impact on the resort the construction is having? Is it really noticeable? I have a standard view booked and I am beginning to think those rooms will be facing the construction. I know there is a thread with pictures but I wanted to hear from someone who has been and witnessed the resort and if they felt impacted by it.

It's been under construction for the last 18 months, so they were most certainly there. Roaring Forks closed earlier this year.

The new villas are opening in July. No one knows when RF or the pool are reopening.

Thank you. I knew there must have been a message about the construction but I
did not recall roaring forks closure.

All Ears says that Roaring Forks and the rebuilt pool are expected to reopen on July 17, when the new Copper Creek Villas open. So most of the construction should be finished by the time you're there at end of August (I think they'll still be working on some of the cabins).

Great to hear thank you! This is the first year I did not pay too much attention to construction warnings. I am glad there is a good chance most of it will be over by August.

I just booked for the end of August. I looked into it a lot beforehand and everything seems to indicate most will be done by July and end of summer. I asked my TA too and she said that it's not terrible right now and should mostly be done by the time we go.

I'm not worried. The main pool is open. Not too concerned about roaring forks as there are still other food options and I don't plan on eating much there. Geyser point bar and grill looks really nice and I've heard good things. I've been following Humphreys unofficial wilderness lodge Facebook page. You might want to follow as he posts updates on construction with lots of pics so you can see how things are progressing.

We've stayed twice during construction, last August and last month. It's my favorite resort and the construction didn't impact our stay at all. From our SV room we had a beautiful view of the castle and Wishes; Geyser Point is great, especially the views at night! Honestly I wouldn't worry about the Construction at all, especially since by late Aug. so much if not all will be complete.

Thank you so much. Sounds like the construction may be over and either way it is not noticeable or impactful. Really good to know! Thanks again!

It's called ROARING FORK. No SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
