Has anybody noticed a change in guest service at the Wilderness Lodge Concierge level? I have stayed there 5 times over the years and have always stayed at the club level. This, my sixth stay, I have noticed a dramatic drop in service and effort especially concerning the offerings at the concierge lounge. All I can say comparatively speaking, is that the offerings at each time were greatly diminished and always the same during my stay which was for four days. The first day, there were no bagels because of a delivery problem. The second, third and fourth days, they ran out of coffee, not to mention the other food, which was the exact same every day.
Running out of coffee and bagels and even danish may seem very trivial to some people, and I guess in the overall scheme of things it is. But I remember the other times that I have stayed there and this was completely different. And, after all, you are paying for this in the price of your room. Now Im not one of those who would make a meal of the food at the lounge but I would like a cup of coffee. Its no secret and should be no surprise that there will be a lot of guests wanting coffee in the morning time slot so how could they run out of something as basic as coffee? This is certainly not the Old Faithful Club of the past. Maybe they are just getting used to the new digs? I hope this changes because I love staying here.
