Wilderness Lodge boat to the Contemporary??

We are gonna be staying at wilderness lodge and wanted to know which is the fastest way to get to MK? should we take the boat to the contemporary and take the monorail from there or should we just have the boat drop us off at MK?thanks

there is a direct bus. that is the fastest.

otherwise the boat to the MK is probably just as fast as taking the boat to the CR - then walking to the lobby, then taking the elevator, then escaltor, then monrail - then you have to go around - TTC, polyn, GF, then MK.

the CR is the first stop after the MK - so going to the MK - well it is faster to walk.

Since you are going to be walking alot at the MK - just take the boat or bus.

Stayed at WL in November and always took the boat directly to MK. It was a nice boat ride. Figure if your gonna go to the other parks your probably be taking the bus most of the time. I suggest the boat for MK.

We loved the boat. It's a fun ride, and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the boat to the MK. (Can't say the same about the buses.)

There are fewer boats to the Contemporary, but we still took one to get to Chef Mickey. Highly recommend the boats.

I preferred taking the boat to the bus (just because I like boats). As far as which boat to take - I usually took the first boat that came. If the CR boat was there and I didn't see the MK boat coming I would get on it and go that way. Also it's a good way to see the CR if you haven't been and if you have kids they usually like a monorail ride.

We took the first boat that was there. Always ask if the boat is continuing on to the campgrounds before returning to the MK. Many times if it is going to the campgrounds first it is more convenient to take the boat to the Contemporary and walk or monorail it to the MK.

If you have to ever go from the WL to the GF plan for ample time. We got lucky and one of the boat drivers (must of felt bad, it was 39 degrees) and shuttled us over there.

We stay at VWL because of the boat to MK. We were there at Christmas and there was a direct boat to the MK, which was a very nice perk because it cut the traveling time quite a bit. But we don't mind when we swing by FW first either. The boat just seems to add a bit more magic. My traveling buddy is so funny at the start of our trips...when we have just arrived and usually while unpacking, one of us will hear the boat horn at the dock. "Did you hear that?" my friend will say, "Mickey's calling me...we need to get going!"
