Can anyone tell me if you have a wilderness carriage ride reserved for 9:30, if you will be able to see the Electric water show while on the half hour ride?:p

I don't know, I've never experienced this carriage ride. I'll just bump this back to page one for you.

I'm pretty sure you can. Last Dec. we had the 9:30 ride booked, but we were really tired and moved it up to 8pm.

When you call to make your ressies, just ask!!! :smooth:

travelin' tigger . . . . . How did you like this??

Even if you do not see the EWP, is this worth the price??

It was very nice, definitely romantic. The ride follows a closed road in Ft. Wilderness. Dark, quiet with only the night sounds, the creak of the carriage and the clip-clop of hooves.

Our horse was Scotty and our driver was Linda - a great pair!!! It was ironic that she had grown up a few towns away from where we're from so we had a nice conversation throughout the ride.

It's a 1/2 hour ride and reasonable at $30 (plus tip!) - I highly recommend it!!! :teeth:

From the areas that we rode on during the carriage ride we took in September, I don't think you could see the electric water parade. We didn't travel close enough to the shore of the lake to see anything.

On a personal note, I loved doing the carriage ride. It was one of the high points of our vacation. Well worth the fee, if you ask me. Mickey

Where can I find out more info about the carriage ride?

How do you book it?

Thanks!

Call (407) 824-2832 for reservations up to 60 days in advance. Tours are nightly from 6-10pm. $30 for a 30-minute ride. Cash or room charge only. Departs from Crockett's Tavern @ Pioneer Hall.

Hope this helps!!! :smooth:

THANKS!!! i think this sounds like a great way to surprise dh. i never have even heard of them doing this before. :)

Thanks for the input. I do have ressies for a 9:30 ride after our fun at Hoop De Doo. My DH doesn't have a clue I reserved this carriage ride. It will be a great surprise for him. We are celebrating 10 years of marriage and we had a horse and carriage at the wedding. Should remind him of that special day and as, travelin' tigger aludes: Romantic. Yes, yes, yes!

When you get there for your ride, ask the driver if your ride can include going by the beach so you can catch the EWP. I don't think the routes for the carriage rides are carved in stone and it doesn't hurt to ask!!!

Congrats on your 10 years and enjoy the ride!!!!

Thanks Barb for the suggestion. Any thing might be possible in WDW!!!!:sunny:

Does anyone know how many people can be in the carriage?

The carriage we rode in could have held 2 adults and most likely 3 small children -or- 4 adults -or- 2 adults and 2 kids/teens. It was quite comfortable. Mickey

Thanks so much for the info, I guess our party of 6 will be in 2 carriages!:)
