They might. Last year we were going from the Poly to the MK (to then get the boat back to the WL) right before the fireworks started. We had to stop in the middle of the lake to wait until the fireworks were done. No boats were going anywhere. It was nice, we basically got a free fireworks cruise!
The only time you see that kind of actual watercraft stoppage/closure is for the special shows 7/3-4 and 12/30-31 due to the launch points in the lagoon. That won’t happen on normal nights, other than normal delays or slight pauses for other boat traffic, the electrical water pageant barges, a captain that drags the throttle to allow for a better show, etc. Throw in the fireworks cruises and there’s typically a lot of traffic out on the water in the evenings.
