jd99 said:Pat - Thanks. She is doing much better but still has a bit of a cough and 2 docs in the practice are arguing about whether she has asthsma or just a bad cold *sigh* as if it isn'tt stressful enough, the doctors (one old, one young) are fighting over the diagnosis. Thanks to all for the well wishes. She needs some good sea air!

Jeff-when my son was an infant he came down with RSV - can't spell out the actual medical term. It was characterized by severe coughing and asthma like symptoms - wheezing mainly. It's a virus that gets way down deep in the lungs. He was hospitalized briefly and needed to be on a nebuelizer(sp?) as well for a while. I know that children are susceptible to it until about age 2. I wonder if Emily may have something along those lines? I know she's 2 1/2..but it sounds so similar to what we went thru. The treatment is probably what you are already doing anyway but I thought maybe this info. could be helpful.
Take care-
Kelly
