Pat - Thanks. She is doing much better but still has a bit of a cough and 2 docs in the practice are arguing about whether she has asthsma or just a bad cold *sigh* as if it isn'tt stressful enough, the doctors (one old, one young) are fighting over the diagnosis. Thanks to all for the well wishes. She needs some good sea air!

Jeff-when my son was an infant he came down with RSV - can't spell out the actual medical term. It was characterized by severe coughing and asthma like symptoms - wheezing mainly. It's a virus that gets way down deep in the lungs. He was hospitalized briefly and needed to be on a nebuelizer(sp?) as well for a while. I know that children are susceptible to it until about age 2. I wonder if Emily may have something along those lines? I know she's 2 1/2..but it sounds so similar to what we went thru. The treatment is probably what you are already doing anyway but I thought maybe this info. could be helpful.

Take care-
Kelly

Thanks Kelly - actually DD8 had RSV when she was about 1 and I've wondered about that myself. This doesn't seem as severe however, so I will just let the docs keep duking it out until she's all better! I just hope she gets to Trick or treat tonight - if the rain can hold off - since she has been so looking forward to it. Regardless I will post a pic here of my two princesses (even though neither is being a princess this year!) - the 2 YO became freaked out when she saw the beloved Cinderella costume and decided on dalmation instead...while DD8 is too cool for the princesses (sigh, how did that happen so quickly?) and is a "rock star."

Me again , yes I am Cuban and no Im not angry, until you ask me about the camera, just joking lol
My parents were born in Cuba I was born in New York
Steve's more Cuban than I am He was born in Miami, Florida
He's my Cuban white boy lol
We're a pair Steve and I, Irish and Cuban

They call the Angry Cuban at work because she's all smiles and polite then when someone makes her mad, look out. As her mom used to say, she doesn't let hair grow on her tongue. That's a Cuban saying for she doesn't take crap. She yelled at her boss yesterday, if that tells you anything.

Jeff - too funny about the 8 yr old DD...my DD just turned 11 and she is a pop star diva this year. She was some sort of princess for many years. Actually last year I talked her into being an Indian Princess (AKA - Pocahontas - I got the costume on sale on-line!). I hope Emily continues to feel better. Actually, a little bit of rain might do her some good...I remember sitting outside on a rainy night with my DD when she had croup - it helped clear the passages a bit.

Happy Halloween Nana heads!

:welcome: :welcome: Esther! Glad you can join us!

Had to go to DD's school this morning for her Halloween party. Then on to work, so I've been on the go all day. :car: DD went trick-or-treating on Sunday, so hopefully she won't be disappointmed when we don't go anywhere tonight. We live in the country, so probably no trick-or-treaters here tonight.

I also picked up the permission form to fill out to have DD's absence be excused. I'll get that to the school so they can start compiling all the worksheets she'll be doing when we're gone.

I talked to our T/A today because our credit (on our credit card) to cancel DSS didn't seem like very much. She said DCL sent a $250 check straight to the travel agency. :confused3 Looks like we can cash it and add it to the :drinking1 fund!!!!

Well, back to work! Have a great night everyone!

Cheri

P.S. Tonya -- great pictures! Our XL shirt looks like it's fine. :thumbsup2

Too Funny! I'll watch out for YOU, Esther. lol I used to be like that too, but old age has 'mellowed' me.

Tonya, our shirts are fine - I washed them lst night. Dimples says if we get any little babies, she will give up her shirt to them. (I mailed the check at lunch time)

ok. time to get dinner. :stir: :stir: :stir:

Tell Dimples that there is no need to give up her shirt. Now she may end up with a new outfit from the Harry Godmother, but no need to give her shirts up.

Have a great evening all. Im going to tan and to my parents house for Homemade pizza (a tradition in our family). I expect to be a couple pounds heavier in the morning. So pray for me. I guess the treadmill will get a visitor in the morning before work.

See ya all real soon.

Hello all....finally found the thread....please bring me up to date....I am reading about shirts....whats up with that? My DW and MIL will be along with myself....just came off the 10/26 Wonder cruise.....Looking forward to see everyone on that great cruise....it is a real good one since we do it every year....Christmas deco's....all the trimmings.....
Tom :cool1:

WELCOME Tom. I will PM you the information on the shirts. Glad to have you aboard.

Hello Banana Heads

I'm sitting in the Show Low, Arizona, Regional Airport right now. Don't know where Show Low is? Simply find a map, find Phoenix, go due east until you see NOTHING. That's Show Low. Travelled out to Eagar and Springerville AZ this afternoon (move finger further east into nothingness to find those 2 towns), and was shocked to realize that I actually could feel the altitude there while walking around our property! Actually took my breath away! But, wow ... watch gorgeous country out here!

Gotta run ... catch y'all later!

Good Grief, Woo! What are you doing in the back of beyond?? (Kinda extreme to go to those lengths to avoid trick-or-treaters, isn't it?)

Welcome Tom! The shirts are terrific :-)

I gotta tell Dimples - the Hairy Godmother! She'll LOVE her! Too funny. I don't think I'll cut a tail hole in the back of the shirts, just yet, all the same.

Night for now.

PS - Tom, Tell the ladies "Tiaras" www.glitterdiva.com or www.tiaratown.com

Tonya, the shirts arrived they are great and ours are the right size... :thumbsup2

No trick or treaters yet :confused3

Wendy

Tom, welcome aboard! This is definitely a "unique" group, shall we say. But, I think it is going to be a blast on the cruise.

If you are interested, and you have late dining, many of us have linked our reservations together to dine together. If you don't want to commit to being around this group that much, we understand.

Meets are scheduled at Signals at 1:01 on boarding day for the adults, and then 2:45 at the Promenade Lounge for everyone. We are doing a gift exchange at the 2:45 meet for those who want to participate. $10 limit with the gift being either regional or a Christmas Ornament. If you don't want to do the gift exchange, don't let that stop you from coming to the meet! :thumbsup2

Welcome Aboard, Tom!!!

Glad to hear you and your family will be cruising with us. In my group, it's me, DH Dave, and friends, Bob and Gitta.

Tiggerking -- Great job explaining Day 1 activities to Tom. :thumbsup2
I'm impressed!!!

Just came back from a relaxing evening at Barnes & Noble. Bought a book for the cruise and will have to hide it so I don't read it before 11/24.
