Additional Stateroom Amenities Enhance the Disney Cruise Line Experience

CELEBRATION, Fla. -- Disney Cruise Line guests soon will be able to absorb the enriching benefits of the ocean while sailing on the high seas. Beginning in October, the cruise line is introducing H2O Plus Spa bath and shower products to all 877 guest accommodations on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. These high-end products, derived from marine botanicals, bring a piece of the ocean into every stateroom.

The high-quality, water-based H2O Plus products being stocked on the Disney Cruise Line ships include Sea Marine Revitalizing Shampoo, Marine Collagen Conditioner and Hydrating Body Butter from the H2O Plus premium Spa line -- all in uniquely designed, co-branded bottles. Guests staying in concierge-level suites will find additional H20 Plus offerings such as Sea Salt Body Wash and Solar Relief Gel.

The upgrade of every family-friendly stateroom onboard both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder also features new Sealy Posturepedic Premium Plush Euro-top mattresses, new pillows and Frette 300 thread-count, 100 percent Egyptian cotton linens. In addition, larger, more luxurious bath towels and bath sheets have been added to all stateroom bathrooms.

In all concierge-level suites, there are comfortable duvets and a new "Pillow Talk" program which allows concierge guests to choose from a selection of hypo-allergenic, feather and therapeutic memory foam pillow options.

Sea-derived skincare innovator H2O Plus, L.P. has been making a splash in the specialty global retail market with an array of skincare, spa, bath and shower and color cosmetics products for the last 16 years. The company's entrepreneurial founder and creative director, Cindy Melk, has grown H2O Plus from a concept of water-based, sea-derived formulations to an internationally recognized branded company.

Thats all well and good, Jan...BUT...will they still have  Banana bread-bread pudding at Topsiders? Let's keep our focus on the important things, shall we?

Enjoy the day, gang!

Oh Jan, that sounds so awesome about the bedding change!

Of course, us guys don't care about the H2O stuff. Heck, we may go the whole week without showering. I mean, the pool has chlorine to keep us clean, and we will wash the saltwater off when we get out of the ocean! ;)

Denise: Happy Early Birthday! party:

Linda: Have a great weekend!

Kathy & Steve: Hope you guys are all right down there. Post when you can and let us know you are safe! pixiedust:

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday! It is starting out beautiful here in Georgia, but it is supposed to start raining this afternoon!

Hey guys so far so good down this way. Starting to get a little rain but no big deal. These things can sometimes sneak up on you though. Thanks for all the concern.
If we do get blown away I'll let you know! :lmao:

About the dining rotation that everyone is trying to get together on, I know that's it's PLA but is that early or late? I'm assuming it's late but wanted to check.

Good morning everyone,

well I have lots of clouds and a drizzly rain this morning, by this afternoon we should have hard rain and some small wind gusts of 40 MPH. We need the rain, so this will be a good thing for us.
Some areas may get 6 inches of rain, they may have a bad problem, so I will keep my fingers crossed for those people. My oldest son is in one of those areas, so hope things go well for him too.

Things are pretty quiet here today, I still need to find out what excursions we are going to do, we are so slow this cruise about making decisions. Guess we have gone so many times we just are more laid back about it.

well have a great day everyone and if we dont loose power this evening I will check back and see what everyone is doing today.

Kathy

Good Luck Kathy, Steve and everyone else in the path of the storm...hopefully everything will be fine and you won't catch the brunt of it.
We're all with ya!!

Happy darn near your birthday Denise... so, you're gonna be 25? Well, enjoy it...
Enjoy...

Jeff,
My parents took me out of school for vacation all the time. I worked at a school and parents do it all the time to go away so you are not being a bad parent!!!

Here is DS having alot of fun during Mommy and Me Class!!

JD99, I take my son out. For the last three years he has missed school on or around his birthday (November 25). He was at Disneyworld the first year and last year he was on the cruise (lucky dog). He will be 10 this year on the first day of the cruise. (even more a lucky dog, he gets to go the oceaners club)

Don't feel bad, think about what you are allowing them to see and experience. Nothing that they see or do could they experience in a class room.

Lynn - he really is adorable! Can't wait to meet him in person - my DD too - she just looked at his picture and thinks he's "soooo cute" (her words)
Of course they make babies cute so we can't help but love them even though they keep us up all night long ;)

Jeff - we took DD(10) and DS(7) to Disneyworld for a week this past May/June. They missed 4 days of school. They will be missing a week for the cruise. DH used to feel differently about it than he does now. He used to be very against it but we've realized that we NEED quality family time together and it's just easier and more economical during the school year-when not everyone is taking vacation at the same time. My DH works Loooong hours during the week so these family vacations are the glue that holds us together. We wrote a note to their teachers in May and we will do the same thing again. We requested work for them to do and the teachers were great about it. We will do the same this time. DS will be in 2nd and DD will be in 6th. Once they reach high school it will be a bit harder - but we'll deal with that when the time comes. SOOOOO in answer to your question - no, I don't think you're bad parents (because then I would be one too :)

It's cloudy and drizzling here today...just like yesterday...just like Monday...this is starting to get old. I think it's going to be this way the rest of the week. I hope everyone in Ernesto's path stays safe.
Kathy - I hope everything goes ok for your son.

Runa- glad you're ok. Sorry about the car :sad1:

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Jeff: Just to let you know, our granddaughter is 9 and we are taking her out of school. She goes to a private school and her parents told the teacher at orientation. We are traveling as one big happy family :grouphug: at least that's how we'll start out.
Pat

Jeff, we are taking my DS 12 out of school we do each year but since he starts high school next year this is our last year doing so.
don't feel guilty there will be lots of bad parents on board :rotfl2:
Wendy

I was being a little facetious about the "bad parent" thing since I have taken DD out every year of school she has had so far. In K, we took her out a full week because we forgot - yep just forgot that we should probably take school into account when planning a vacation. As she was our first, we honestly didn't think about it until after she started school. But it was no biggie. Last year during first grade, she was out 2 1/2 days in the fall and 2 in the spring for two different vacations.

I agree completely that these trips are the glue for families. I own my own business and my wife works part time. DD8 is constantly on the go and DD2 1/2 will be soon. We travel 3-4 times a year. Some people collect antiques, some people gamble, some people save every penny for a retirement that may or may not ever come. We try to strike a good balance between planning for our future and having our fun now. I think we do a pretty good job of it. :sunny:

Now back to my original question - any 8 or 9 year old girls going? My DD8 is very social but sometimes shy in these kinds of "club" settings but will make fast friends with someone at the water slide line. Love to know that she may get a chance to make friends with someone who she will then see in the Oceaneer's Lab later in the week.

Jeff, if I was your kid, I'd love you even more just because you took me out of school for vacations! :rotfl2: That was totally taboo in my house when growing up!

Stay dry Pat, Kathy & Steve!

Kathy ... what's our banana count up to?

Ya know, between Renee, Denise and Athene (not to mention Wendy's computer!!), we starting to become a group of Bruised bananas!!

I'm updating the list and will e-mail out shortly. Check your e-mail!

We also totally forgot DS would be in school when we booked this cruise. But...it is only JK, and in general I don't have a problem with taking kids out of school. He will actually be missing a full week and 2 days so we are really making a dent. Oh well....you only live once. It is WAY more economical too - and I really have no desire to travel to WDW in the summer with everyone else and their brother in the 120 degree weather

Jan - thanks ALOT for that info.....that's the kind of stuff I get excited about. Oh how lame my life is :rotfl:

Runa - glad to hear you are OK....aren't accidents a pain the butt with Insurance, rental car etc etc. But at least no damage to you!!!

Glad to hear FL seems to be avoiding the brunt of Ernesto :thumbsup2

Hope everyone else is doing well - gotta get back to work, I've spent my whole lunch hour reading TRs LOL

Lyn,
Loved the pictures!! keep'em coming!!

Shell, as of this post we are up tp 2244 nanas on our thread!!I think we should hit 3000 by the cruise??

kathy

We're jumping on the "bad parent" bandwagon too....our DD7 will be taken out of 2nd grade for 1 week and 1 day.

Happy Hump Day Everyone! We just came back from the New York State fair in Syracuse, NY. We ate ourselves silly...can't deny ourselves that great fair food. Now back to saving calories for the cruise......
