Lynn, that was suppose to say NO worries not do worries!!

My first was only a few weeks old and she slid out of the back of the stroller onto concrete steps on her head. I thought I would die. grabbed her and ran for home and then noticed she wasnt crying anymore just cooing and smiling as if nothing had happened. I looked and not even a bruise!!
Kids are tough!!

Bob: I love your latest door sign. Can you create a book of door signs???!!!

Jan
Hmmm...describe what you mean by "book of door signs".

Jeff: I hope Emily gets better soon. I just got back from the Doc myself with a sinus infection. Woo hoo!

Lynn - Did you see my post on the main board about getting on the first bus if you are at the Hyatt. Someone responded saying that you have to get your name on a list to make sure you know which bus you are on....Since the last time we just got off a plane and onto our bus, I had no idea that was necessary. Check out the thread on the main board. It's called "First Bus" and is near the top because I just posted another question.
Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out, too! I researched all that stuff so long ago, I've forgotten the details!

So the continuing saga of Miss Emily is that yes, indeed she does have yet another ear infection *sigh* but the good news part of that is that the drugs will fix it pretty quickly maybe even before we fly but likely before we are boarding the ship. She needs some good sea air, some play time in Flounders and a more relaxed mommy, daddy and big sister. Hey - the cruise will cure all of that! :goodvibes

Bob -- great door signs! :worship: :worship: Perhaps I'll go shred mine in shame! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have to go get a new color cartridge for my printer. The one DH brought from the office is used (and faulty) unless I want everything purple and black!! Wonder which of our office wizards put it back in its box as if it hadn't been opened??? :furious:

pixiedust: pixiedust: for Emily! :grouphug: for Lynn's grandma & Okie's mom. Hope I'm not missing anyone.

Oh -- :grouphug: for anyone not wise enough to post a lot today -- Kathy's whip could hurt!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Cheri

So it looks like I'll have to make a last-minute run to town -- printer cartridge for door signs.

Also have to go buy booze for Turkey Day. I know, you're all shocked that I don't have a huge stash here at home for "emergencies"!! :lmao: :lmao:

Hi Snoopy Mom! :wave2:

Jeff -- I went back into my old subscribed threads -- it sounds like you tell the concierge at the Hyatt that you're taking the DCL bus in the morning, and they'll get you on the list. Then in the morning, one member of the family goes down to get the actual pass/time. Luggage is placed outside the room door around 8:00-8:30 and they load it for you.

It sounds like we do this when we check in. But maybe a call to the concierge is in order ahead of time? :confused3 Let me know if you call, and what they say. Otherwise, I'll try calling later today or early tomorrow.

Cheri

Well let's see ... Kathy said talk about anything ...

My nephew (my sister's oldest) got home last night from college (he goes to Wesleyan in CT) with his new girlfriend, who we call Columbia (I have no idea yet what her name is). This will be girlfriend number 2 from South America. He refuses to date American girls, says they're all "ugly" ("except for you, Aunt Shell" :teeth: ). So we're meeting my sister and her family plus Columbia tonight for dinner at a great local italian restaurant, the kind of place where you know it's family owned and authentic. I'm thinking veal and oil & garlic pasta are calling my name ....

How many of us are left?? Starting to feel like Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None !!!

Less than 20 per person if there are still 10 posters. . . (pretty impressive math, eh? :rotfl2: )

I just did a search myself and found a few threads that indicated just this. It doesn't seem like an advance call is necessary - that you'd just do it when you check in -- so I don't plan on doing so. If you do, let me know what you find out.

Ok I think I better get to work now. I want to get some things done so I dont' have to work too much on the ship. Sarah- I wanted to tell you that I used my laptop and wireless on the last cruise I was on and it worked flawlessly. I bought a package and the minutes added up fast, so just tell your DH to be careful about his time online. Do things offline and then cut and paste into emails to save a few bucks and not worry about counting the minutes. I made the mistake of not doing that and ended up having to buy a second package of minutes!

Have fun!! :goodvibes

Just found out last night that Thanksgiving at DH's sister's will be our family, her family, and just a bunch of their friends who have nowhere else to go. Dh's other sister is heading down to visit their brother in Tennessee for the holiday. So much for a "family get together."

Oh well, we'll bring our booze, drink it, eat, and hustle outta there -- gotta pack (sounds like a good excuse!)

Don't think I'll call unless I have a bunch of free time tomorrow. :rotfl:
