Wild Card Class (Thrifty in November)

Hi Guys,

I just booked a "Wild Card - We pick the car (Compact or larger)" rental from Thrifty, November 6 - 13 for $120 + tax ($177 total). Pickup and dropoff at MCO.

Has anyone ever gotten the Wild Card offer before? What sort of car did you get?

Total price works out to $25 a day inc tax.

I have never done the Wild Car offer but that rate is not always the lowest rate of them all.

If you book normally instead of choosing Wild Car they still have to give you something larger at the same price if they don't have your size.

I don't do it, becuase I would rather know what type of car I'm getting. Since I'm concerned about gas mileage, why get stuck with a gas guzzler when you wanted a fuel effeiceint one.

I have booked wild card three times and each time I got the mid-size, which was the smallest guaranteed car. I saw recently the wild card option now only guarantees at least a compact size. Not a good deal IMHO.
