Hi
I'm thinking about booking this for my husband and son( who is 8). Has anyone do it with a young child?
He is very adventurous and loves animals.
It's either this or Discovery cove and struggling to decide.
Any views or advice would be great. Thanks

Wild Africa Trek is just 3 hours - and I do think an 8 year old who likes animals will enjoy it a lot. I did the trek and I highly recommend it routinely unless someone is terrified of heights. Depending on his food pickiness level, the snack may or may not appeal. You can't take your own snacks with you - but you might want to be prepared to get him a snack/meal afterwards if he doesn't it.

HOWEVER - Discovery Cove as the alternative? Discovery Cove is a FULL day experience..... so you are comparing a snack to a meal, IMO. Now - I haven't been there yet - but it's definitely high on my FL bucket list!!!

I just did the trek and we enjoyed it immensely. That being said, we did Discovery Cove a few years back and it was AMAZING. If I had to choose between the two I would choose Discovery Cove. As I said, I don't know if it's the same as it was a few years ago, but it was the entire day and included breakfast, lunch, snacks, and all the beverages (including alcoholic beverages) you wanted. We swam with the dolphins, the rays, fed the birds, and did the lazy river. Still hands down the best money we have ever spent.
