Yes, the charger is worth it. Have had ours since day 1. You have to sync the wiimote to the wii. Google it-really easy!
I was going to post a Wii remote question, so maybe someone here can help me. We just bought our second remote and nunchuck. We are having trouble getting it to work. When we put the batteries in, the bottom lights flash and then cut off and nothing else lights up, no matter which buttons we push. What are we doing wrong?
Same as PP-Nyko. I consider it a necessity-like a phone charger. You won't be disappointed. Only thing is that you need to tell the kids to make sure the wiimote is seated properly in the charger to charge, "make sure the light goes on". No biggie though.

We also have the Nyko and love it. Only drawback is the rubber covers must be removed for the remotes to seat properly. We finally just gave up using the covers, my 2 daughters are pretty careful not to let the remotes go.

Ditto.
I find the chargers to be a necessity and bought them from the get go. The only thing that annoys me is that we can't use the rubber covers- too much of a pain to remove them everytime we charge the remotes (which is all the time they aren't playing with them!) We still use the wrist strap though. I really wish they'd thought about this ahead of time and made the remotes able to sit in chargers while the rubber cover/skin is on.![]()
