DS(13) turned it on and couldn't get the remotes to operate - changed batteries and everything. Then his friend checked the connections were in fully and the screen darkened - you can still see it but darker. This (luckily) only affects the Wii channel, the TV is OK.

Any ideas?

I had this problem the other day. What I did is flip open the panel on the front of the wii, which should had a big red button. If you open the back of your Wii remote(s) , it also has a big red button on them. Press both at the same time, and then the front will start to flash. When it starts to flash a bit slower, stop pushing the buttons. It then comes on with the player number.

No clues about the telly though, but perhaps that could be sorted with the main control by putting the brightness up??

We switched everything off and left it, then just before we put it back on I checked behind the TV and found the cable from the motion sensor had got pished under the stand (which fits flush on the floor) don't know how :confused3 Anyway, I pulled it free and when we switched everything back on it was fine:thumbsup2

I'll remember the tip with the buttons. Thanks for that.
