My college freshman won a Wii with the sports game included. Now, what else do we need? We aren't really gaming people, so we need all your advice! We are: mom (46), DD (19), DD (16). Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated! (also, any good games we "must" have???)

Your kids are older than mine, but mine love mario smash brothers, wii carnival games, mario and sonic at the olympics.......and the sports one that came with it.
they want mario kart, i heard that is fun.
how many remotes and nonchucks ( sp ) do you have? you may need more of those

I would go get a new controller and nunchuck, for sure. Having 2 is handy.

In addition if you do want to buy games go to GAMESTOP and buy used games. There are so many out there now & the employees will help you out with everything.

I am partial to Mario Party 8. Out of all of the games it is still my fav. You would need to buy another controller/nunchuck to play this together. Each person needs their own.

It is a board game type game with action games in it. Not over the top stuff and pretty easy to play.

If you are a Star Wars lover, you have to get the LEGO The Complete Saga. It is also easy to play and just fun. They also have Indiana Jones.

I am not a fan of the PP games but that is just me. Oh and I am 45, but I am a gamer.

Obviously, I'm an idiot because I have no idea what a nunchuck or controller is. :confused3 I know we want the Disney DDR and the Toy Story Mania. We need the mats for DDR, but what do we need for TSM?

Not an idiot, just not familiar with the terms yet.;)

Controller or actually it is called the "Wii Remote" is the device that you use to play the games. The "nunchuck" is a part of the remote that is required on some games. It is plugged into the Wii Remote as needed. A lot of games do not require the nunchuck.

For example if you are playing Mario Party 8 you will need your own Wii Remote. However some games allow you to share the Wii Remote.

I don't play TSM, so not sure what you need there.
