Wii - freezing issues?

Has anyone had any problems with their Wii freezing? I know ours is not overheating and is well ventilated but it seems like it freezes at least once during play everytime we turn it on?

Anyone have any soultions? I really do not want to have to buy another one of these

DH works for Best Buy and says you might want to try a cooling stand if it freezes up after its been in use for a good period of time. If it freezes or overheats easily its probably a faulty wii.

My DM had problems, not with wii, but another piece of electronics where it kept freezing. Problem was it needed updates to it's software. When you start you Wii go into the section of the Wii that makes it talk to Nintendo (Wii shop?). Download any updates that it needs. Mine just downloaded a bunch of updates a few weeks ago.

Also check your game disks. We had this problem with a couple of times because the games/disks were bad - our Wii Sports had several bad sectors on it.
