Wii Fit

I just picked up my Wii Fit yesterday! My sister in law found them and picked one up for me!!!

It tells me I'm obese and my Wii Age is 11 years older than I am. I paid money to be insulted??? :rotfl2: I'll show that game who's old and fat!:maleficen :

I am looking forward to seeing what my Wii Fit Age is in a few weeks.

I got "lucky" with my wii fit age. Just 1 year more than I am, but my mii looks like a little blimp. She is so tubby looking. When my mii and my fiancés stand next to each other, they look like Dan and Roseanne from the Roseanne show. We don't look like that in real life. Least I hope we don't!

And can I tell you I am sore today. I go to the gym 5 times a week and yet a video game makes me sore. Guess I don't use those muscles. My lower back and hips hurt from all the hula!

We got ours on Sunday... I am so sore, but it is so worth it!! I have lost 1.8 pounds in two days, and my Wii age has went from 45 to 36. (I am 30) I am not that bad over weight, but I sit at a desk all day and I am flabby!! The games are great, and it doesn't feel like I am working out... until the next day when the soreness hits. And I LOVE challenging my husband to see who can get the higher scores. I highly recommend them to anyone!!

Wow

This sounds like a lot of fun. I have been thinking about getting a Wii for a while. We play rock band with some friends. I think i may actually buy one after reading this thread. Once I have one I am sure that I'll have to post a new thread: How to keep my family from using my Wii so that I can use it

I'm sore!! But I am down 3.2 pounds in 4 days. And, it is so fun, it doesn't seem like I am excercising. I do hate my trainer, though, when I do the lunges and she fusses at me for not bending my knees enough! :headache:

I am doing well!!

I am just 29 minutes away from logging 20 hours!! Me! I can't believe I stuck with it for this long! (I got the Wii Fit just under a month ago!)

I did notice a difference when I was waterskiing this weekend. Those balance games DO make your life easier!

AND I was at a pool party today with friends that I haven't seen in a while and THEY even noticed! Yay!!

WOOHOO!!

At 20 hours is there still stuff to unlock? I seem to unlock something new every few minutes I play. Last night I unlocked 4 things and I was only on for 45 minutes. (most of that was playing soccer since for the life of me I cant seem to avoid the stupid pandas! :headache: )

I finally found one -- at my local Walmart, of all places. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Maybe supply is finally catching up with demand -- three stores in my area told me they'd gotten shipments in earlier this week that had lasted overnight before selling out. At "my" Walmart, though, they'd gotten some earlier today and only had two left after I'd gotten mine. Whew!

I just got a Wii and Wii fit and I love it. I don't know if if it will cause me to become more fit, but it sure is fun. I also bought We Ski to use with the balance board. If you like to ski, it is a hoot. I think I will turn the air conditioning down to freezing and pretend like I am on the Mountain tomorow.... well may not I think that my family might not like that too much.....

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad this thread was here. I've been thinking about getting the Wii Fit (we already have a Wii) and now I'm ready to buy!! I had a baby in March and need to start MOVING because I am so outta shape and get tired easily. And I want to be strong for our trip to Disneyland in less than two months!

I hope I can find one and report back here SOON!

No, I've unlocked everything and at 30 days of exercise, I finally got my "last" stamp to use.

I do like the incentive to change your bank's colors. I got it to change at 10 hours (Bronze) and 20 hours (Silver). I am at 24+ hours now, so we will see if I change it at 30 hours , too!

I finally tried the strength challenges. I'm up for more PLank and jacknife challenges, but the push ups scare me LOL!

ALSO: After a few weeks of NO soccer challenges, I tried it last night - broke 100 the first time and broke 200 the 2nd! Maybe take a few days (Or week LOL) off, and work on your balance and core strength, then give it another go!

I STILL love my Wii Fit!!

Ya, I found a Wii Fit today!! Yippee!! :woohoo:

I clocked in 40 minutes worth of stuff. I did a little of everything. I'm feeling the hula hoop the most (in the lower back muscles)!

Anyone else doing the Wii Fit regularly?

I love my Wii Fit! And it's all thanks to MommyLove that I have one, she gave me the heads up on where I could find one. :woohoo:

It tells me that I'm obese and it makes me laugh every time I see my pudgy little Wii. I am determined to make her thinner though!

The games are awesome! I think super hula hoop is evil though. I can't for the life of me do the soccer one. The only one I've gotten 100% on is the short distance run.

Like most people I would love to slap my trainer, I swear he doesn't know what he's talking about, but I giggle like a little girl whenever he says "if you want to view me from the back..." Good thing they don't test maturity levels.

As I mentioned in another thread, I bought it and used it twice. Apparently, I am "unbalanced", which I knew. I have a terrible sense of balance. So, I've been doing the skiing, which, not surpisingly, I am pretty bad at. I finally conquered the tightrope, but I'm wobbly. I imagine I'll improve over time. The soccer entertains me -- I like have stuff thrown at my head!! :)

I can't do the running in place exercises because I live in an apartment and can't disturb my downstairs neighbors. I might try to yoga.

I was happy to see my Wii included Wii Sports. I ordered the tennis racket, golf club and baseball bat from Ebay. I can't wait to try tennis and golf.

I don't know if I'm doing it correctly. Are you supposed to exaggerate your movements? Wave the remote around?

Your movements are supposed to be realistic. If you are too exaggerated you tend to go everywhere on the screen.

It took me a while to "get" the skiing for example. I kept leaning left and right and the mii would go haywire and shoot across the screen. Then i figured out that you don't lean, but transfer your weight. It is an entirely different movement and much more effective for the games.

The one thing I am still horrible at is that darn bubble game. When I panic I tend to lean backwards and hit the wall behind me! That is the only thing i cant seem to get 3 or 4 stars on

Thanks for the advice. I'll try shifting my weight and see if it goes better. With the Tightrope, I am more successful if I actually take little steps on the platform.

I haven't made it to the Bubble game yet; I'll probably end up with whiplash!!

On the tight rope you actually have to "walk" (at least that I what I do). It is sort of like the boxing, you actually have to move.

I just got a Wii Fit for my birthday and I'm very excited to get started. Thanks for the tips so far!
