I think I'm going to try to get the Disney Infinity game for our Wii from Walmart tomorrow. My 2 kids would love it, and since we are surprising them with a trip to Disneland, I don't think they'll expect a 'bigger' gift under the tree, so that will be a bonus. :cool1:

Anyway, I know the starter pack comes with 3 figures, but I'm wondering if anyone knows the best price to get more figures and if there is anything else we should get? We have a regular Wii. Thanks so much!!

If you are a member of SAMs, they have them for $8 and change right now. I think they are also having them on sale on BF. Game Stop is having them BOGO on BF. My husband won't let me buy this game:(. I did some research and people said to make sure to buy characters that are in the same movie as the one in the starter pack(for example, mike). So that you can play 2 players. They have packs of three, I believe the price I saw was $34, but I quit looking.

I have the Infinity game for my regular Wii. It happens to be the only system that doesn't allow two person play.

What I have discovered with the figures is this: When playing Monsters University (using this as the example) with Sully, when you change over to Mike, all the missions that Sully completed are the same missions Mike has so that means they are also completed for Mike. Which isn't to say that they don't have their own things that need to happen and you need all figures if you want to open the vault in each game.

As a 45 year old I have enjoyed playing this for HOURS. Jack Sparrow pirate: and I have become the best of friends. My 4 year old grandson and I play the games together, he controls the buttons and I do the walking with the nunchuck. We have a lot of fun getting the bad guys and shooting things up, and even though it is shooting things up it is in the comic style and not blood and gore.

Awesome, thanks!

I was wondering about this also! So, you have to have 2 characters from the same movie to play 2 players? Do you need 2 from every movie that they have to play the whole game?

Toys R Us has the Infinity Characters 3 for $30 this week. The deals change every week it seems.

From what I have been reading, you can't play two players unless you are in the Toy Box mode, which means you have to create the game you play in. Anybody else have first hand experience of this?

From watching at a friend's house, you can only play two player mode in the regular game with two characters from the same series. The game comes with Jack Sparrow, Sulley from Monster's Inc. and Mr. Incredible. You cannot play Jack and Sulley together in the regular game but if you have Mike you can play Mike and Sulley together. However, in the Toy Box part of the game anything goes. The only exception to this, apparently is the Wii system which only allows 1 player mode.

I thought the Disney Infinity for Wii only was for the new WiiU? I got the PS3 version for my husband for Christmas. I went with that because all the people I was asking about it said the graphic were better. Target has a coupon in the toy catalog towards Disney Infinity.

I just wanted to mention that I happened to go to Walmart after work & I asked in electronics how tomorrow will work since I have to be at work at 8:00. I was mainly asking to see if I could put Disney Infinity & Skylanders Swapforce in my cart at say 7:15 and checkout right at 8:00 (and be about 5-10 minutes late to work). The manager told me to grab one because he was pretty sure that they entered the new prices in their system. So, I grabbed a skylanders & sure enough it rang up at $37. So I grabbed Infinity & it was $37 as well. My Walmart didn't have many for the xbox so I grabbed one of each & checked out.

Glad to know you like it. Thanks!

Man, if I had a Walmart close I'd run out and check! Sadly, my closest Walmart is 20 minutes away, WITHOUT traffic, and here in the Bay Area, that is rare!! :rotfl2:

I checked Walmart.com, they are saying infinity for wii u is only available in stores:(. I read on one of the deal sites I followed that there is extremely high probability that Amazon will be price matching all deals that Walmart has tomorrow. Hopefully they won't be lightning deal.

I know about the BF deals, but is walmart having a sale tomorrow? I just looked on their website and didn't see anything about infinity or swap force (both of which are on my 3 kids' wish lists!

ETA: I finally found the ad, thanks... Will definitely try to get them!

Its available in the store not online. Available now!

Yep, the prices were lowered for all of the different deals at about 2:00 pm local time on Thursday afternoon. Many have been able to grab what they needed already.

Do you need a character from a movie to unlock a part of the game? Like if we don't have a Toy Story figure, we can't play a Toy Story part?

Yes, that is correct.
