Do the wiggles ever make an appearance at WDW? My 18 mo old LOVES  them and would go nuts if he got to dance with them when we visit.

Two years ago we went to Playhouse Disney and they had a Wiggles things going on. But I guess that have since changed the rotation? Maybe someone else can shed light on this; all I know is that we went again last month and there wasn't any Wiggles.

Unless it's a special event (concert) the Wiggles do not regularly make appearances at WDW. They do not even sell Wiggles merchandise as the Wiggles are "owned" by another company (as of 5/03 anyway).

This past November they were selling Wiggles merchandise outside of Playhouse Disney, but that was all I saw of them. And it was the same merchandise available at Walmart or Toys R Us. FYI.

Hot potato. Fruit Salad. Wags the Dog Does the Tango.

I have lived through Barney and the Teletubbies and despised both. The Wiggles aren't so bad.

Of course, this comes from someone who whistles the theme to Shanna's Show nearly every day. (If you are forced to watch the Wiggles, you probably know who Shanna is)

"My name is Shanna.
It rhymes with banana...
And this, my friends, is
Shanna's Sho-o-o-o-W"

:teeth:

DD21mos. is major into "The Doodlebops" now. Anyone else watching them? I love the girl who plays DeeDee. I wrote to the producer and told him how great we thought the show was. DH can do without them, though. I tell DD to ask him to watch it and she runs to him. He's got no choice but to turn it on... :rotfl:

Thanks for putting Shanna in my head! Of course, now I'm here at work, and unconciously started whistling it. :rolleyes1

My whole office is mad at you now, because anyone here who has a toddler is now singing Shanna. :cool1:

"Boop Boop Dee Run...Here's Number ONE!!!" :rotfl2:

I was waiting for someone to talk about the Doodlebops! :rolleyes1 My DD4 really likes them - but misses PB & J Otter! This may be a silly question, but do the Doodlebops write and play their own music?

Boop boop dee doo....here's number two!!! :rotfl:

My name is Shane.
It rhymes with rain.
And this my friends,
is Shanna's shoooooow!

Thanks a lot! Now I'll be singing it all night. :rotfl2:

Oh, and don't get me started on the Doodlebops again. Please! I will have nightmares about the blue mop. :rotfl2: :rotfl: Have I mentioned I don't like that show?

Now the Wiggles...that's a show my family loves. :cool1: We've been watching since 2001 before they were on Playhouse Disney. We were lucky enough to run into the at WDW in October 2002 when they were there filming promos for Disney Channel and filming the Christmas Parade. They are such gentlemen and were happy to stop to take a picture with my family. It freaked my kids out because the guys were not in costume, and I don't think they understood what was going on at first, but they still tell everyone about the time we met the Wiggles at WDW. See them live in concert if you get a chance. This year will be our 5th show!

I have always seen Wiggles products outside PHD Live! I know they were there in Oct. 2004. Also, I know they've changed the PHD Live show, but they used to play the Wiggles singing PHD as you were walking out of the theater. Don't know if they've changed that or not, but my 2nd DD thought that was the best part of the show. LOL!

May all your Wiggles be good Wiggles....

my dd loves the wiggles. toobad they're not as disney. she also likes the doodlebops. i however, can't stand them ! they give me the creeps. oh well, whatever makes her happy!!!!!

Thank you all for the info. I have no clue who the doodlebops are! Is that a good thing? :rotfl:

I checked out www.thewiggles.com. They really need a new web designer..that site had lots of dead links. Too bad they have no sign of coming to the east coast anytime soon. :sad2:

I love the Wiggles!! I give the Doodlebops one season at best - even though my DD love them. I just don't see the same quality of the Wiggles' songs in those of the Doodlebops - and the colors give me a headache!

I don't think they do. Best I can come up with from my research is that Rooney and Moe are Canadian (Rooney is a former player with the Canadian Music Theatre). Couldn't find much on Lisa Lennox (other than she shares her name with a former adult film star... :rolleyes1 )

Here's the cast and production info:
Producer & Director: Jamie Waese
Created by Michael Hirsh & Carl Lenox
Executive Producer: Michael Hirsh
Line Producer :Andrea Nevitt
Story Editor & Head Writer: Kim Thompson
Music Director: Carl Lenox
Production Design & Art Director: Pam Mingo / Ron Stefaniuk
Choreographer: David Connolly

CAST:
Deedee: Lisa Lennox
Moe: Jonathan Wexler
Rooney: Chad McNamara
Mazz: Kim Roberts
Bus Driver: Bob John Catucci
Mudge/Moosehead/Chickens/etc. :Ron Stefaniuk

They are doing their West coast tour right now (We saw them on Sunday!), so they will probably do an East coast in the fall if they follow their usual pattern. I highly recommend seeing them live!

The Wiggles usually tour the East coast in November. HTH!

::MickeyMo We have seen the Wiggles twice now. We live in Upstate New York and saw them in November one year and late August the next year. HTH :wizard: Rebecca

My kids were obsesses w/ the Wiggles ( 2 concerts before they were 2) but they seem uninterested all of a sudden, & I think this thread is so funny the way so many have mentioned the Doodlebops - b/c that is what they are now mesmerized by...(Mandy :teeth: )! THey love them and couldn't care less about the Wiggles all of a sudden...I thought the Doddlebops looked like a horrible show, but they love it...go figure....Dorothy & Wags were much cuter than Deedee and Moptop :rotfl:

A few days ago my 3 year old came into the office(I was on DIS :teeth: )and kept screaming "I love the Doodlepops!".I had no idea what he meant.I thought it was some sort of new posicle. Now we watch it everyday.I don't like them as much as The Wiggles.Im still just dissapointed that my kids won't be able to see Rolie Polie Olie when we check out the Playhouse Disney show for the first time this September.

I admit it. I have a secret crush on Moe. It's the hair and the break-dancing...

He's still not as hot as Anthony Wiggle, though (who, by the way, is getting ready to have his second baby already!!).
