WiFi?

Thinking of bringing our computer with us....so... is there wifi ability from our rooms or do we have to use a cable???

There is WiFi in selected resorts at this time now. If not I believe the still have the cable one. I dont remember the cost per day for it though.

We had wifi this past weekend at POFQ. It was free but it was terribly slow. We ended up not using it.

It depends on where you are staying. It seems that the Deluxes and most of the Moderates have WiFi. The Ethernet system (wired) costs $9.95 per 24 hrs and as said, all internet at Disney is slow plus they packet shape. So if you are trying to upload something (video, image so on) it will slow down into the double digit kilobyte range. I would bring your computer, it is useable for most applications. I bring mine every time we go.

There is a sticky at the top of the board regarding wifi and internet service, depending on which resort level you are staying.

Values do not have wifi; you have to pay at other resorts, but the cable is there.
