WIFI in disney resorts ?

where do you guys go , if staying in disney resorts ... to get free WIFI ..

where do you guys go to read your email and possibly get some things printed ?

Sorry, there isn't anything free available.

WIFI is not available in the rooms at all. They have wired internet in the rooms at $9.95 per 24 hour period.

WIFI is available in the common areas of resorts with convention centers. It is not free. I believe it is also $9.95 per 24 hour period.

DVC members staying on points at DVC resorts can get the wired internet in the rooms without charge.

According to this thread you MAY be able to find connections for free in some places but it is not standard.

How does this work? I will be at the BWV in August as a DVC member and I am planning on bringing my laptop. Also, does it make a difference that my laptop is a Mac?

Doesn't matter if your computer is a Mac. All of ours are.

In your DVC room, there will be a cable that you connect to the wall internet outlet and your computer. When we've stayed, the cable has usually been in a gray fabric type bag hanging in the closet. On the bag, it explains what it is.
When you open your internet browser, it will open to a Disney page that has a sign up for internet. The page will say that there is a $9.95 per 24 hour charge that will be charged to your room. There is some small print at the end that says the charge doesn't apply to DVC members staying on points.
Do, check your bill at the end just to make sure that they didn't charge you.
