Wifi at SOG

It's been a couple of years since we've been there, but there was no WIFI in the rooms. Apparently there is in the lobby also for a fee. There is internet access in the rooms but I can't remember if it's high speed or dial up and there is a fee. There are a few stand alone internet terminals in the resort tht can be used for a fee.

When we stayed in June there was WiFi service in the lobby and near the main pool. We got the room access. I think it was broadband. Both options cost the same, $6.95/day.

Technically no, but I was able to use Wide World of Sports...I just did a search for wireless networks and I had it available. It was very low though (but free) and it only worked if I was really close to the balcony in our room. Wasn't bad for checking email.

I did wind up using the regular broadband 2 days out of 12...Not too bad.

Thanks guys! I don't know when we will even have time to check email- but it helps in the decision of whether or not to take the laptop!

We subscribed to the internet service for 2 days, dropping it once we realized we were too busy and tired to bother checking emails. The laptop came in handy for back up storage for our photos. I was so concerned something would happen to the camera, I didn't want to take a chance losing all of our pictures. If you only use your laptop for photos, it's worth taking on your trip.

i just sent them this question, and here is the answer:
