I've read that the lobby area of RPR has wifi. But some people say it is free while others say you have to pay for it.

Can anyone tell me if the wifi at RPR is free or is there a charge for it? If there is a charge, where and how do I purchase airtime?

Thanks for the help?

I've read that the lobby area of RPR has wifi. But some people say it is free while others say you have to pay for it.

It is free in the lobby ~ I used it lots this past June.

You do have to pay for it if you want it in your room ~ even at club level. I think you can get it for free if you have a certain Lowes reward status, but I didn't have that status.

Can't remember how much it was per day, as I ended up just using the free service.

Think its about $10 for a 24 hour period, but like pp said its free in the lobby you will see lots sitting about with their laptops.

You can also pick it up by the pool and outside areas near the restaurants. We did that in June and it worked fine (maybe alittle slow.)
I also believe the in rom charge is around $10. (It was at Disney too.) when you try to log on it prompts you to pay by CC for a 24 hr period, if you go over the 24hrs you will be charged for another day.

We are fortunate to get it for free because of Youfirst status, but you need to sign up details are in the room and it is charged to your room.

if you have to pay for the wifi, check with the front desk on when the 24 hours begins.

one time it was at 3pm the clock started ticking on that fee.

the 24 time period does not begin when you sign up and pay for it.
it begins at a set time each day.

No, it's shady. The hotel is free to decide what it's policy will be. Also, if you really have to be careful about going over your 24 hours or else you automatically get charged, that's dishonest as well. I really hope that person was mistaken in their comment there.

i am not mistaken in my comment.

two years ago, the time start was at 3 pm.
who knows what it is now.

you need to check the front desk if you decide to purchase the wifi and ask them the start of time for that service.

I meant the other person who said you get charged for another day without notification.

I am a YouFirst blue member at the moment (it is going to expire in about a month or so). We are arriving at RPR this week and I was wondering how the free internet works? Sign up at checkin? Do I need to bring my membership card?

Your youfirst details will be on your booking. You sign up in the room for the Internet, either for a 24hour period or 3 days , then if you are there for more than 3 days you will need to sign up again. Details are in the room, put in room number and name of who it is booked under, if you get charged on your room bill for internet, and you are entitled to get it free they will take it of your bill
