Wifi at Epcot

That's great, I was thinking on using my iphone online to use the lines app and also to upload a photo or two and specially sign in my location (I want to make people JELAOUS :lmao: ). Do you know if Disney hollywood studios and animal kingdom will be next in this month or so?? I'm leaving on the 24th of september!! :cool1: :cool1:

Well it was about 3 weeks between MK and Epcot, but you can't really go on anything I suppose.

Using this free WIFI now for this message it's great and handy but I'm only using when I need as don't want to be phone happy on my holidays , it's great in our resort in lobby, resturant even get a signal by the main pool at all stars music...

Sounds brill :thumbsup2

I'm "phone happy" I never switch off... love Social Media and also googling things as well.... doesn't seem to interfere with my holiday... as far as I'm concerned I'm still relaxing and I ensure I don't stop infront of people to update my FourSquare... Paulh will be impressed with my Phone Etiquette

Not really sure why people care if I'm on my phone as long as I'm not making annoyingly loud phone calls and not stopping in your way... :goodvibes

I am super-happy about this. We go in March next year so the wireless should be most places by then. Our party are all iPhone/smartphone users and keeping in touch will be so much easier this way... I'm seriously so excited about this holiday I am going to burst!!!

Do you have to get a disney wi-fi log in, or password etc or is it just unprotected?

Thanks,
Rachel

Same for all resorts and parks (at least MK and Epcot so far)

OKW shows as guest-wireless.
Wifi drop off is regular despite many calls to I.T.services for router reboot
I have connected my travel router and wifi is a lot better

No wifi at DHS still and we went to MK this afternoon and I couldn't get the wifi to work anywhere.

DD has a Samsung Galaxy Mini. So different to my phone. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn off her network. I can turn off the network data, but not the actual network. She has a habit of making accidental calls and I'd rather have it set up so that she is only operating through wifi like I can do with mine. Any pearls of wisdom from my peeps?

I'm afraid I'm an iPhone person - but if she puts her phone into airplane mode, that should turn off all cellular use? Then turn WiFi back on (if it's off) and it will only use that?

Only a suggestion, I'm sure a more knowledgeable person will be along shortly with a better answer! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I'm a Blackberry user and it allows you to fine tune your specific selection of what you want on and off through a very easy menu. However DD's phone, when i tried flight mode, it automatically disconnected the wifi and you can't connect it without turning flight mode off

I will perhaps just phone the network and ask them. She is on Orange and I had asked them if I could leave roaming off (you have to phone to have them activate it through your account on Orange) and just use wifi and they told me that the phone would not work at all, even with wifi only, if roaming was off.

I am very sure that they did not understand the question (not the first time since English seems to be a rare gem in the call centre) and it doesn't make sense but I am not willing to take the chance as she would be so disappointed if she could not use the phone there as I specifically got it for her before our trip so that she could keep in touch with her grandparents while away by email without incurring charges.

You are connecting your router to an ethernet port in room and wifi-ing to that? Do all resorts have ethernet ports in room? Is it still free?

Out of interest, what router are you using? Presumably in a Wireless Access Point mode (no DHCP)?
